    Pros

If you are a kid going to school, it is OK.

    Cons

Too many unknowns. Management is constantly putting fear into its employees. Very racist company. I personally was encouraged to give minorities a hard time in order to make them quit.

    Advice to Management

    Get some morals!

    Pros

Pay is decent. Do like getting time and a 3rd on sundays

    Cons

Alot of hard work, not enough coworkers to help out, terrible customers.

    Advice to Management

Ask the employees that actually do the work instead of coming up with ways u think would be great.

    Pros

Pretty good flexibility. More for high school and mid college aged kids. Ok benefit program, not a bad turnover rate.

    Cons

Managment is ok, but the supervisors are a complete joke. Unfair promotions to people who do NOT deserve it. Advancement is highly unlikely for some. Favoritism, basically a popularity contest. Unrealistic expectations, "increasing basket size and increased sales give you more hours!" not enough help, and sometimes too many people scheduled. Stop having only one person do all the grunt work. Stop micromanaging the employees who do not need it! If you want a courtesy clerk to do floral, or any other department for that matter, cross train them appropriately!!

    Advice to Management

Do your job. Stop playing favorites. This is NOT high school. Stop insulting customers as soon as they're out of earshot.

The Raley's Family and owners' are very nice people.

    Cons

Supervisors are divided philosophically and provide no department direction at this time. There are conflicts in management between old ways and new ways. 'Very sad!

    Raley's needs more educated managers.

    Pros

    decent pay and decent benefits

    Cons

to much drama management does not help and compiles things against you to write you up before they ever tell you that you are making a mistake. bad corporate decisions causing major cutbacks and basically everything else is a con as well.

    Advice to Management

lead your people dont manage. get off your high horse and get your hands dirty and be approachable instead of trying to intimidate

    Pros

a good job if you are in high school and need something to give you a little spending money.

I have been working at Raley's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Employee discounts and full time schedule.

    Cons

Company has no $, therefore, always understaffing departments. Customers would always get angry because there were never enough employees to serve them. Upper management does NOT care about their employees. They only care about profits.

    Advice to Management

Come downstairs and do some of the dirty work when there are hoards of customers and not enough employees.

I have been working at Raley's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

decent store environments, well funded, decent customer base.

    Cons

Sociopathic employers. Abusive, degrading from store directors to medical contractors, to insurance carriers and top dogs in company. They are universally corrupt and indifferent to the suffering of their employees.

    Advice to Management

Consider all aspects of employee well being as a means of making more money, it will. This is the language you speak so: consider being a people company in the interest of huge dividends this will passively produce all on it's own, since, this is all you care about.
