I have been working at Raley's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the best benefits of this position was the graveyard hours which I prefer to any other hours, the pay period being once every week, and all the polite and helping hands your surrounded with that have excellent drives to complete tasks.

    Cons

My ex night manager was a criminal who framed me off the schedual.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! :) you guys rock

    Pros

Friendly coworkers made it a really fun place to work at for almost ten years! I really appreciated my time there!

    Cons

Not enough hours to make it a career job, while I liked working there, it wasn't something I could do my entire life.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your ground level employees more.

    I worked at Raley's full-time

    Pros

As a journeyman -- wage was good.

    Cons

"Two tiered" pay system, same job but for most its half the pay per hour. No more retirement plan separate from 401k.

I have been working at Raley's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Able to provide Counseling of patients without the treat of having bean counter telling you you are not working fast enough

    Cons

Long term the pressure of the CVS and Walgreen stores is forcing this company to act more like CVS and Walgreens. Slow to adopt technology.

    Advice to Management

Set up MTM and Mirixa with telepharmacy and use pharmacists that modified duty to process the flood of MTM cases..... Offer to pay pharmacists to process these at home during off hours when possible .... using remote access..... Then transfer certain counseling duties to each pharmacy.... especially with Spanish speaking patients .... Also allow pharmacists to not have to fill out Manual DEA 222 forms.... We need to do it electronically..

    I worked at Raley's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As this is still a family-lead company, you can still find a lot of those values still in the company, despite its size. A lot of employees have been with Raley's for more than 20 years, so there is longevity.

    Cons

Totally disorganized inventories make for a lot of write-offs which means money going down the drain. The "family" aspect doesn't apply nearly as much to new hires, simply because of the size of the company.

    Advice to Management

Listen to newer people. They may help you!

I have been working at Raley's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Employee Discount, flexible hours, commute

    Cons

Concensus among employees is that their "FAMILY" mantra is a fascade. Employees do not feel safe in their job, idea of opening up 5-6 stores in the next 2 years when we've only done 1 in about 10 seems fairly aggressive, which may explain the inexplicable amount of layoffs recently that they call "restructuring"

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff, there's are reasons why our Manager/Supervisor annual reviews are so poor
