    Pros

I have created lifelong friendships with many people I worked with

    Cons

The store I managed was broken into several times, to this day they are constantly on the news for shoplifting. Shoplifters keyed my car for following them around the store, cussed me out and threatened me. I was doing my job in providing assistance however they feel that acting violent towards the workers will get the workers away from them so they can steal. They need to be able to prosecute shoplifters. Better pay and employee discounts would be great as well!

There are certainly many areas of the business that are run by "small-but-mighty" teams, we consider that part of our entrepreneurial spirit. Along with this spirit comes the willingness to lend a hand, so we encourage seeking assistance where needed. We appreciate your review!

    Pros

There is a great work-life balance in the company. The hours are generally 9-6 and you won't stay all night. The company as a whole has a lot of great benefits from employee discounts to restaurant perks. It's comforting to know that it is also a stable company. There are really some wonderful people working for the company, too. If you like a very corporate atmosphere then this is your place.

    Cons

The yearly employee reviews are ridiculous. The raise (even for a great review) does not cover the increased cost of living from year to year. Throughout a department a few specific people will consistently be promoted while rest of the department will not. It would be one thing if this was solely based on merit, but it has a lot more to do with whether the highest level person in your division cares about your specific job. If you have someone watching out for you then you can really advance. If you don't...then it's never going to happen. The meetings are excessively long, too. 10-6 for one meeting is not uncommon.

Stayed too long at a company too big

    Pros

There is a nice feeling of job security and a decent employee discount. The people that work there are generally nice but it doesn't offset the office politics.

    Cons

Compensation is poor when compared to similar companies in the field. Lots of turnover of the staff and management which leads to a low moral on the floor and departments disorganized.

    Pros

Loved the employee discount and the majority of people who work there!

    Cons

Lots of spend in ridiculous areas - very antiquated IT systems that caused a loss of productivity. Very little on-going maintenance support for a bunch of their stuff

Community
There is a spirit of timelessness imbued into everything we create at Ralph Lauren — a spirit that extends to how we think about our role in protecting the environment and leaving a lasting, positive impact on society. That’s why our citizenship and sustainability strategy, Design the Change, is woven into all that we do – from concept and design to how we show up in the communities where we operate. As part of this, today we are proud to share our progress in our FY21 Global Citizenship & Sustainability Report, including: - Our new goal to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2040; - Taking greater accountability by tying ESG metrics with executive compensation; and - Increasing our transparency by reporting expanded workforce diversity, climate impact and factory disclosure data. At this time last year, Ralph Lauren joined our nation and the world in a long-overdue reckoning with racism. One year later, our Chairman & Chief Creative Officer Ralph Lauren and President & CEO Patrice Louvet shared an update in an open letter with our teams on our steadfast commitment to becoming a wholly equitable workplace and a champion for diversity and inclusion in the world. “The next chapter for our Company won’t be defined by any single product or brand campaign we create – it will be defined by what we stand for. As a beacon for American culture and values in the world, racial equity must be at the very heart of who we are and how we live our Purpose. With integrity as our compass, we promise to continue to listen, learn and take action into a better tomorrow.” – Ralph Lauren & Patrice Louvet https://lnkd.in/evs83ff
