A final stop
Jan 17, 2023 - Business Operations Analyst in GenevaRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great benefit package, a good overall vibe and relationship with other employees, upper management easy to reach and the company has actual values. Work life balance is fostered and encouraged.
Cons
Do not expect growth. You may take additional responsibilities, but promotions are very rare and always upon departure of someone else, so if you're looking to grow as a professional this is not the place to be. The pay rises are just as rare and somehow always below inflation rate.

Polo Store Development
Jul 2, 2012 - Administrative Assistant in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Bosses vacation a lot, which means you have autonomy. Opportunity to travel with company for store openings. Very accomodating and they actually value a work/life balance. SUMMER FRIDAYS. Stressful work load, but everyone is great at what they do and good quality people.
Cons
Takes FOREVER to get promoted. They value employees who start with them, exit to other companies and expand skill set, and then come back.

Pay is horrific, concerns ignored
Jul 10, 2021 - Sales Associate in San Diego, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Cool coworkers and good discount
Cons
Ever since the new West Coast manager took over for the Polo Factory Stores, associates are being overworked and underpaid. Individual sales goals with no commission pay, force to build customer connections that feels inauthentic, and emphasis on making individual numbers when we work in a TEAM environment at an outlet. HR is horrible and does nothing to alleviate any issues, ignores feedback and concerns although they claim to listen. Don't work here, you will have to work like you work at a full retail store for minimum wage. No work/life balance and it's a joke.

Unbending Core Values - Warm, Welcoming Place to Work
Jul 15, 2018 - Anonymous Employee in Lyndhurst, NJRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The biggest pro for working at RL are the unbending core values and family oriented culture which make this a very warm, welcoming place to work. It is a very large company with many opportunities for growth and development. Direct contact with higher ups. Fast paced environment. Great work life balance as a corporate employee (for me at least - and most other teams I've come in contact with).
Cons
Decision making can be slow, and at times, not made at the lowest level which can compromise efficiency and demotivate staff level employees. Certain areas of the company can feel somewhat siloed off.

Amazing place to work.
Aug 16, 2020 - Merchandise Planner in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great team, feel so proud to work there. Respect for work life balance as well as keeping staff safe through covid and also address where they can improve as a business. Continually examining how they operate and how they can help socially.
Cons
Career progression can sometimes be hard to navigate.
