    Pros

Leadership of company have a clear vision and continue to focus on innovation and customer satisfaction. The culture is collaborative and everyone truly wants their colleagues to be successful. New hires especially are given a lot of support and everyone is willing to lend a hand or answer questions. It is a constantly evolving company who has their feet on the ground and is fiscally healthy.

    Cons

Although the company promotes from within it doesn't have any formal career paths in the sales organization.

    Advice to Management

Develop career paths and provide necessary training so sales employees have more opportunity to grow and be challenged past their current job duties.

    Pros

Consultative sales process focused around added-value solutions, support, implementation services snd professional development to augment Autodesk software. IMAGINit Technologies offers some proprietary solutions such as Clarity, that can help design firms save time/money in helping them achieve process/workflow efficiencies.

    Cons

Highly competitive and price-sensitive. IMAGINiT has lost many clients to competitors due to high sales rep and manager turnover and lack of consistency in those areas. Many of the value-added services do not resonate with clients/prospects that already have firm relationships with other Autodesk resellers and are seeking additional Autodesk seats but who do not perceive that they have significant challenges in their workflows or process efficiencies. Many clients/prospects do not see enough of a compelling event to switch to IMAGINiT based on the relatively high-priced services that IMAGINiT offers.

    Advice to Management

Set clear earnings expectations for incoming sales representatives. Many are led to believe in a $140k on-target earning potential. A more realistic expectation for a first-year sales rep making quota is closer to about $70-80k. An Account Executive would need to double their typical 2nd year quota to earn in the $140k range. While management is patient in the first 6-8 months while a representative is getting up to speed, pressure begins to mount around the 1-year anniversary mark. Many reps do not reach annual quota until their 2nd anniversary with the company or beyond (for those reps who make it to the 2-year mark)

    Pros

This company has a lot of good people with great potential. They are well known, large and organized for the most part with logistical items.

    Cons

Leadership has very little vision to invest in people and partnerships. They really don't do well at helping and coaching. VP's want to make comments and micromanage everything all the time. They don't want to pay or invest in people even when they are top performers. They also have a serious issue with letting creeps stick around. They fail to realize that bad apples bring the whole company down.

    Advice to Management

Let people sell in their style. Stop micromanaging and fire the disrespectful jerks. When one person has issues with almost everyone there is a reason!

I worked at Rand Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Marketing Team and Sales Support Team very helpful

    Cons

If you're a seasoned sales executive, this is NOT the company for you. Expect to be micromanaged, treated like you are an inside sales rep. Sales managers have no voice to assist and help with closing opportunities. If you have to discount the opportunity for a win, it's the sales executive commission that is affected. If the client pays via a credit card, the sales executive pays the 3% credit card fee out your commission.
The hiring managers will tell you that you can make a lot of money by selling training and custom implementation services but it's not true. Rand Worldwide and IMAGINiT truly do not believe in paying sales executive, they will find a way not to pay you. If you choose to work for Rand Worldwide and IMAGINiT, I wish you the best of luck but beware.
Autodesk is moving to a direct model, resellers like IMAGINiT not be need in the near future.
Also, Autodesk is hiring sales executive, they offer support and training again no need for resellers like Rand Worldwide and IMAGINiT

    Advice to Management

You hire professional treat your sales executive as professionals.

    Pros

Great, innovative leadership in the company. Willing to hear ideas and implement them as appropriate. Allow people to progress internally and advance. NEVER take away pay because you "are making too much" in commissions.

    Cons

Can sometimes be a political environment that you have to work through the details to get things done.

    Advice to Management

Keep innovating and trying to improve. The more flexible you can be the better you will be.
