I have been working at Randalls full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There is room for growth and you can make your way up the management ladder fairly quickly. The caps for pay are relatively high in some departments.

    Cons

Takes a long time to enjoy the perks of being full time. Part time has crappy medical insurance. Not too flexible when you've become full time. Holidays are worked. Never closed. Favoritism.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees and who they are. Don't target people and make it your mission to "destroy" their careers. Get rid of stupid programs. Focus on customer service and doing what's right. Sometimes the sale (as in $$$) isn't always the most important thing.

I have been working at Randalls part-time

    Pros

Work with some good people that are always willing to lend a hand. Most of the customers are very pleasant to deal with. Decent employee discounts on your groceries.

    Cons

The corporate management is really out of touch with the employees and customers at the store level, but I think that happens in most large corporations. If you don't want to see huge amounts of food and money being wasted don't ever work at a grocery store. No accountability for those that do not do the job they are being paid to do, you're just expected to pick up their slack.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the employees and customers more. Hold people accountable for the work they are expected to do especially when they are being paid more than most of the other people working around them.

I enjoyed working here, the people were great. The pay was okay but there were chances for advancement.

    Advice to Management
