I have been working at Randstad part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very reputable company with years of experience in the business. This company knows how to deal with its contractors on a level and there is mutual respect. They are upfront and honest and don't mess you about like other recruitment agency's which is hard to find in this time. If you prove that you are reliable and consistent they will make sure you always have work and at the best rates possible.

    Cons

No cons what so ever. Great company to work with.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and continue to be the market leaders in this sector. Always push your contractors to be the top of their game and invest in them cause I can assure you, the returns you will get back will be worth it and remember, word of mouth is very powerful. Do good and good will come back to you. It's because of how I've been treated I'm writing this review. Well done Randstad!

I have been working at Randstad (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I started with Randstad in 2013 and have never looked back since. Having been new to recruitment I guess I heard all the clichés out there and how it is full of 'sharks' and 'people who only care about money and not their clients and candidates’. I can honestly say I am glad I didn't listen or take heed.
Randstad are a unique employer within the recruitment industry because not only do they support you every step of the way, their training is exceptional and market leading.
For me, to work within in a company where I can be me, have my ideas listened to and implemented and respected, in my eyes is a great place to work .

    Cons

I do not and have not had any downsides.

    Advice to Management

As always, never stop listening and learning.

I have been working at Randstad full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Having worked in Recruitment learning & development for several years (as well as operationally). I fully support the bold claim stating "best in class" training. This is delivered via the accredited "Randstad Institute of Sales Excellence" and spearheaded by the diligent Head of Learning, Business Partners plus a highly credible and well respected national team of trainers (many who are qualified ILM coaches and all REC certified). Close collaboration exists with management, who from senior level downwards are down to earth and supportive. Coupled with a pioneering “Tech & Touch” approach investing in new technology, Consultants are well equipped with the right tools to embark on a successful recruitment career. A decent flexible benefits package is available from day one of joining.

    Cons

In some cases a consultant's development and progress in hindered by lack of first line management follow up. Although there is a supportive environment non-performance is tolerated at length in some teams.

    Advice to Management

Strong leadership and open communication is vital in this unpredictable pro-Brexit world. Marketed as the World's 2nd largest recruiter there is no room for complacency.

I have been working at Randstad part-time

    Pros

No pros, poor communication, can't trust what they say and consultants will dodge you like the plague once you take their job. STEER CLEAR of them

    Cons

When this company wants you to take on an assignment they have for you, they are very easy to get hold of to speak to, but the minute you take the job you can never get hold of your consultant again. It's like they only use you for the job but once you've accepted it and they've received their commission for you, your tossed away like a piece of rubbish. They will constantly lie and send other staff members to tell you they are in a meeting or gone for a break. They will constantly screen your call and ignore your calls and e-mails and text messages. I had a pay query and they never even called me back to sort it out and left me a whole weekend without money

    Advice to Management

Stop treating people like rubbish and start to respect the people who are putting money in your pockets. The way you pretend that you care is ridiculous and so transparent as it's only an act so the contractor takes the job. Change your ways or you will start to see that less people will want to work with you and you will quickly go from being a good recruitment agency to a poor one who lacks professionalism.
