I have been working at Randstad US full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people that get you into the contracts are fast and friendly. The personnel at the company are nice, understanding, and friendly. Some will be very detailed in issue resolution or particular about setup. Denver office has AMAZING views. Network Administrators are highly skilled and more than willing to fix issues quickly. No direct supervision on-site.

    Cons

Aegon personnel aren't the most accommodating or familure with most duties performed. Help desk personnel are hit and miss about helpfulness or competence. Most times they break things further than they should. Most of the logistics are coordinated through Cedar Rapids, IA. Managers are in constant meetings. Some meetings can seem frivolous in nature at times. Outdated hardware not being replaced on a more regular basis.

    Advice to Management

Better communication with other teams and stand up for the people that work for you.

    Pros

Large company so they were able to ofer great benefits, insurance is amazing. Fun work environment, and scheduled promotions/raise if performance meets or exceeds expectations.

    Cons

I loved working for Randstad, my only issue was my immediate supervisor. During the interview I told them I wasn't really looking for a sales position, later I was told I must do B2B sales. That isn't my fortey. I was also told that I would have more work life balance during the interview, however when my son was very sick or I had 102 fever I was expected to work from home. Keep in mind, I NEVER call out and usually always work no matter what. Any time off was not given with the best support. I believe this was immediate managment, not the overall company value.

I worked at Randstad US full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Not many meetings
-Allowed to manage your own process
-Pay close to market for a base salary

    Cons

-My office had 100% turnover within my time there
-HUGE lack of training - even the new training program isn't enough
    -Internal politics were an issue
-Salary expectation was set way higher than what I was offered and had to counter back up to what they told me they paid.
-Expectation was set that there would be a ton of business to work on - in reality many recruiters would go a few days - a week without something to work on when our jobs were "covered"
-A lot of the business is VMS focused and treated like it's good business when they are unable to have contact with managers or even get feedback
-Account Managers have never recruited and don't know how to manage candidates or set expectations with clients (from the lack of training)
-Leadership wouldn't address any concerns (sometimes because they weren't getting the information also)
-The office leadership would throw employees under the bus to save face with the business
-Spread splits - half of the spread goes to the Recruiter and half goes to the AM - this is not market standard anymore.
-Back office made mistakes weekly - I had consultants who had submitted their time correctly and still had payroll and benefits issues solely because of a Randstad mistake

    Advice to Management

Don't lie - your employees see straight through it. Set better expectations and don't pretend like everything is okay when it's not.
