I have been working at Randstad US full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Healthcare is excellent and largely subsidized if you elect the enhanced plan. Employee Stock Purchase Plan offers a 50% match, highest I've ever seen. 401k is offered with matches occurring as you go as opposed to year end match.

    Cons

Absolutely no training offered, other than general online modules. Turnover in each operating company differs but in ours it was north of 60% PER YEAR. No formal reviews, no career mapping. Randstad is losing overall market share to more aggressive and nimble competitors. Culture at Randstad is confusing as each operating company operates in a different silo. Zero flex time or remote work for those with children- ZERO.

    Advice to Management

Hire people and then INVEST in them: time, money, training, and resources. Make annual reviews, career mapping, annual events that follow a distinct process. Offer incentives and be more generous with reimbursement for certifications, degrees, conferences, and recognized industry events.

I worked at Randstad US full-time

    Pros

Solid people with good attitudes throughout.

    Cons

Weaker benefits package with higher cost medical, no 401K match and less time off. The pay solid, which helped offset the higher costs.

    Advice to Management

Invest in new programs to keep pace with the competition.

I worked at Randstad US full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, competitive base with lucrative commissions and bonuses if you are over goal.

    Cons

Lots of favoritism and discrimination. Offices can be very dramatic and it's difficult to do your job when emotions are running high. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Local management should take a better look at the entire staff and not just certain key players in order to get a fair assessment of the team.

    Pros

Flexible with work/life balance. Have lots of opportunities for volunteering and team building activities. Some departments offer work from home days others flex days.

    Cons

Management is very poor. Their need to be outside training for ALL managers. Not friends promoting friends or brown nosing. Management makes it hard to work there and to advance.
