    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Rapid City Area Schools full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I like the split shift.

    Cons

Early hours suck, hostile work environment, harassment happens frequently, "good ol boy" system screws most.

    Advice to Management

Get new management and reign in or fire the ones you do have that are incompetent. Bring back the paid schooling.

I worked at Rapid City Area Schools as a contractor

    Pros

Great classes offered for masters credits.
Emphasis on working together in PLC time.
Trying to achieve district wide similarities.

    Cons

Teachers don't always have the biggest say.
A lot of emphasis on assessing.
Some rough students/families with little support.

    Advice to Management

Make sure when reviewing or helping a teacher that you mention the strengths bad just a lot of what needs changed. Take note of how they make an effort to improve.
