Amazing environment to build a career. Rapid7 has done a fantastic job screening for smart and empathetic people who just want to make an impact in the world - which is why the average longevity is excellent (especially for tech). It really is the varsity squad - people on every team really know their area well and are happy to help cross-functionally. Rapid7 invests heavily in employee growth & development so there are many avenues to explore as the company continues to grow at a fast pace. The Boston office is something (spectacular) out of a movie set - which promotes collaboration and good focus time as well.
Cons
With such fast-paced growth, maintaining relationships and connections with various teams can be challenging - something most growth companies experience.

- Fast paced. - The individual people are incredible. Great people; smart to work with, enjoyable company, great to have a drink with after. - Career growth/learning potential can be great. - Flexible in regards to work schedule (job dependent). - Learning resources are plentiful concerning the industry and individual growth. - You need to be responsible for yourself to make sure you get your work done but also turn it off when you need to. - Pretty transparent exec staff.

- Fast paced is great for those that can handle it; at times it's hard to keep up. - Mentors can be hard to come by. You're in charge of your own learning; learning resources are plentiful but it's what you make of them. With such a fast paced culture, its hard to make time for your own development. - 'Mature' benefits are a bit lagging (401k, comp, comp reviews, etc). - Work/Life balance can be tough at times.
