    I worked at Raritan full-time

    Pros

Great people, relaxed atmosphere, interesting product and technology - people seem to actually care about the work that they do

    Cons

Some of the management decisions are made in a bubble and requirements may not exactly be clear, roadmap to success and promotion is often murky, lots of subtle politics

    Advice to Management

The only advice to management would be to think ahead a little bit and work on a little more modern technology or try to solve problems better

    I worked at Raritan full-time

    Pros

Interesting product set in nice growing data center space. Great unique technology and highly reliable so you can feel comfortable representing this product line in the market place. Did a good job launching new product line when existing product line became less relevant in the market place.

    Cons

Dramatic downsizing over recent years have left little room for employees to be strategic and creative forcing them to be more reactive in their roles. Current Senior Management does not provide clear direction and strategy to the people in the trenches.

    Advice to Management

Find ways to reward employees that go above and beyond. Giving everyone the same raise with no reward for performance leaves people unmotivated. Meager raises in recent years were less than the dramatic increase in health care costs created bad morale. Try to promote from within or spend more time training and mentoring people so they can advance in their career.
