I worked at Ratnakar Bank full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Shared goal
    Very motivating environment
    Supportive management
    Direct Access to top management
    Team Spirit is very high
Profit sharing in the form of Employee Stock Options
Top management is full of motivating professionals who have clarity of strategy and are aware of the changing landscape in the Indian Banking environment.

    Cons

Should work on improving the human resources team and have base salary marginally higher than the industry levels considering that they have to attract good people. The Cash bonus should be a bit higher too.

    Advice to Management

    1. Focus on the existing strategy and clarity of purpose
    2. Focus on retaining employees, especially in the consumer banking as that is needed to improve the CASA ratio
    3. Branch banking needs better oversight as dirty office politics is creating a lot of hindrance to pursue more important and long-term objectives.
    4. Corporate Banking (the team I worked in) is amazing and that level of cohesiveness doesn't exist in Consumer Banking teams - This should be improved

    Cons

Culture is very bad with top management always pushing for unachevable goal

No work life balance with zero employee satisfaction.
Process flows and systems along with policy framework is not at all professional

    Advice to Management

Money shall create followers ,, culture shall create leaders. Employee satisfaction shall be the strongest catalyst for this bank to be in the top league

    Pros

Growing bank, have rebranded themselves so that the villager feel diminishes. Corporate feel when you work there.

    Cons

Stop hiring from small time insurance companies and promoting them to DVP in your company. The man is totally incompetent to be a leader. You will come to know in the coming days. Company should start hiring from best companies in the insurance market so that knowledgeable people get into the company.

    Advice to Management

    Already mentioned in cons.
