    Pros

Benefits like health insurance and 401-K, opportunity for advancement

    Cons

Inconsistency in policies and leadership at times, but much is due to company's growth. The money is there, but in some positions you are expected to work horribly long hours without seeing much financial benefit.

    Advice to Management

You have some talented people working for you - make sure you reward them before burning them out.

    Pros

The company as a whole is an amazing company, the core values of the company are true as far as the vision of what John Rausch wants. The company itself has longevity, and is continuously growing in size and profit.

    Cons

There really isn't any room for growth for employees, all higher management positions are filled from the outside rather than promoting within. The company really doesn't put any initiative into training up their current employess and there really isn't any job security.

    Advice to Management

Spend more time training up your current employees rather than hiring people from the outside. If, however, you are going to hire externally, then it's probably a better idea to hire from within the industry.

    Pros

You can make a good income if you can last long enough and you have a high tolerance for stress.

    Cons

I worked for this company for over 3 years and was one of their top sales professionals. Since they hired an ex-Walmart executive to manage this company they go through personnel like a revolving door. Twelve key employees have been terminated or resigned in less than a year in my division. The other divisions aren't much better. Complaining to HR or upper management is the quickest way to lose your job. They micro-manage everyone. They advertise a ridiculously low monthly payment to bring in prospective buyers. This makes the sales professionals look like liars when they have to tell the prospects the real cost. Commissions and construction bonuses are based on when a home closes escrow. You have to take into consideration the 5 month build time and getting paid the month after it closes escrow, you will be waiting 6+ months to get a commission or bonus check. Here is the really bad news - if you resign or are terminated for any reason you receive no commissions on any sales that close 30 days after you leave. It's a great incentive for them to terminate successful sales professionals that have a lot of homes under construction. They claim to be "faith based," but this family owned and operated business is focused solely on profits. Avoid them like the plague!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you want them to treat your customers. Stop using deceptive advertising and justifying lying as "helping" buyers to become homeowners.

    Pros

Extremely difficult to think of any .

    Cons

Lack of effective leadership...Fear based management. .Insecure micro managers...manipulative..just to name a few. Lack of diversity in upper management. There is definitely no flexibility in this position for your family or social life. Although they try, you can't put a price tag on time with family and friends.

    Advice to Management

Hire efficient managers...implement some type of required Human Relations training from outside the organization....really make employee retention a top priority...

    Pros

A lot of support from the corporate office allows for success. Small office feel with the benefits of a larger company. Co workers are great and has a very team like environment.

    Cons

A tendency to put too much emphasis on the bottom line without concern for the environment or situation, weather etc.

    Advice to Management

Hire people who have actual on the job experience and not "yes" men.

    Pros

    There really aren't any pros.

    Cons

If you are not religious they will weed you out. You won't even get past the interview stage. Management is poor all around. Employees come and go quickly. Also, look at the dates of a lot of the positive reviews on here. They are clustered. They also tend to be posted by anonymous reviewers, tend to be based in the Fayetteville home office, and tend to only have a sentence or two. The company has had a bad reputation for quite some time. The home office recently undertook a campaign to boost their image to prospective employees by posting fake reviews. This is a bad company. Steer clear of them.

    Pros

Very little good to say about this company from when I worked their

    Cons

They overwork their construction personnel and do not provide any support to them. The construction department is a revolving door, with management finding ways to effectively steal bonuses from superintendents while working them from dawn until dusk.

    Advice to Management

Hire capable managers. Listen to your employees. Hire people with actual experience in the field

    Pros

The Leadership of RCH has a sincere desire to build a great company. This is evident in their mission, vision, and values which is talked about and supported from the top down. Sometimes hard decisions are made for the good of the company, but even then they will always treat people right and try to do the right thing. A great company to work for. They're not perfect, but the effort is there to always be improving.

    Cons

There's not anything that stands out as a negative. They work hard, fast, and sometimes too lean but it's good if you like a fast pace environment.

    Advice to Management

Stay steady and keep listening to your team members.
