    Pros

Unique product offerings. Skilled people. Chance / expectation to contribute.

    Cons

Acquired by Raytheon. More Raytheon, less Solipsys and a loss of some of the unique cultural elements that made it one of the best local places to work.

    Advice to Management

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Raytheon Solipsys full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management is really flexible with work / life balance, salary is decent, 9 / 80 schedule (we get every other Friday off), ability to occasionally travel (if your job requires it) to some pretty cool places, mostly awesome co-workers, nice area to work (you get your own cube with a door), 401k 4% match, decent health care (HSA will match you up to $1,500 a year), work is challenging.

    Cons

Had to endure some lay-offs recently, which is hard on everyone. Some times you have to put in long hours, but like any job there are up times and down times. Some upper level management can be hard to deal with, but you will always have that anywhere you go (from my experience). Training for new employees is still something to be desired (there is a steep learning curve).

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, continue to show that you recognize your employees' hard work on an individual level.
