The 3 best reasons to work for here would be the wonderful residents, majority of the staff/managers/coord's, benefits and flexibility of scheduling.
Administration is prone to utilizing gossip, manipulation and unprofessional behavior in coercion of staff. Very biased in employee evaluations, depending heavily on feelings toward the staff at time of evaluation rather than looking at full year of work and record. Too many times, if some one is "liked" but callous in their work, a situation is allowed and if a person is "disliked" (typically because they question or offer ideas other than what company line may be) then the pressure to find things to write up becomes enormous so the person can get fired or will be humiliated enough to leave on their own.
Pouting, ranting and tantrums are witnessed all too many times and staff is often the brunt of administration and administrative staff derogatory and demeaning comments. Longevity and hard work are undervalued in this organization. Overall the administration is immature, petty, egotistical and vindictive.
Advice to Management
Before direct support staff is cut, cut your administrative budget . While hours and staffing has been slashed over the recent years, the administration circle and costs gets bigger and bigger. The organization is top heavy. Listen to people who actually do the work that has created the company's reputation. The staffing in this organization is caring in monitoring, teaching, loving those they work with and that is because they have some good people at management level who work hard and instill those values in their staff.

-Executive Director is not approachable, very unproffessional during evaluations
-Management of front office needs overhaul- Very clicky place to work
-Evaluations are not honest- approach during evals and personal meetings unprofessional
- Clients do not come first -- Clients were first to have cuts during budget cuts- No upper management cuts
-Human resource unprofessional and matters not kept confidential
-Staff not speaking up for clients for fear of loosing job
