Very flexible work environment including some working from home including significant individual responsibility for your own work. The two company founders do care about the employees and do recognize good performance both verbally and monetarily.
The company is subject to the variations in the amount of contract services work needed by the medical devices R&D departments. The founders have very distinct and different personalities that requires some skill in learning how to work effectively with them.
Advice to Management
I would suggest that the top management take some technical personnel management courses including how to work effectively with the wide range of personality types that are present in most technical fields. In addition, more effective and frequent communication is needed.
