    Pros

Huge growth opportunities Great team culture Leadership that listens and takes action A product that actually works and makes a difference to customers lives Awesome customer support and on boarding

    Cons

Fast growing company means that there are some areas of the business that are still going through teething issues... but this can be seen as a positive as well as it is a dynamic environment and changing for the better

I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are no pros of working in this horrible company. They cheat clients and they cheat their employees.

    Cons

Dont believe a word of what they tell you in the interview. Their interview process is designed to bait you in. If you read this consider yourself being warned. Dont join this company. You will suffer. Avoid at all costs.

    Advice to Management

    1) Fire the entire management team 2) Hire ethical managers 3) Stop cheating employees and customers

I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Training and Onboarding - thats where the pros end

    Cons

The company has a toxic work culture. The so called management team is soulless and will harass you for targets from the word go. This will start as soon as you finish training i.e. 2 weeks. There will be no support provided to do the job. The field sales BDM role is a new role this company is trailing out, however to make this division successful the company is not taking any steps to support this role. The job description...

    Pros

Incredible culture and a team full of incredibly talented go-getters. Receipt Bank has provided me with the opportunity to express myself freely, teach others and be taught by others. Everyone is committed to perfecting their craft, and the product, and the atmosphere is very inspiring, with everyone teaching everyone else. This is the place for proactive, creative, constantly learning people who are devoted to improving...

I worked at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

I can't think of a single positive thing to say.

    Cons

    - Horrible culture - racist, sexist jokes make you part of the 'in' crowd - If you're not part of the in crowd, it's impossible to progress or get by. - Absolute sweatshop. 'Flexible' hours mean nothing when there's an 8:30 meeting every day. - Surprisingly stuck in their ways for a startup when it comes to innovation. - Horrific culture, management are unaware of how to speak to people with respect. - Zero respect...

I worked at Receipt Bank full-time

    Pros

Very good on boarding/training Easy to follow and clear defined goals for your training

    Cons

Lack of management skills in aus region (I know the management team has since changed though) It seemed as though management didn't trust employees, everything was overly micromanaged and all decisions were made by people who were not in the country Terrible/no real comms program.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees and then develop a comms scheme that will align their success with the overall business success

    Pros

******GENERAL PRO'S******* - Opportunities to travel. These are, however, mostly for the top NPC globally (New Sales) or APAC/US/EMEA teams travelling to the UK office (HQ) for training. - Young office with active social life - perfect for new grads in London or under 30s - Modern offices and great location in Shoreditch - Open-plan office and opportunities to collaborate with other teams - Good exposure...

*****GENERAL CONS******* - Contracted working hours were 8.30am - 5.30pm. This was still lengthy in comparison to most contracted hours although it went down by half an hour from 6pm when I started. - Hours are supposedly flexi-hours but this doesn't really add up when there is an 8.30am meeting every day. - Low holiday allowance and no option to carry over. In 2018, it was put up to 22 days from 20 days. There...

    Advice to Management

    - Reconsider how you treat your employees to avoid the atmosphere becoming any more toxic. - Venture outside the RB bubble and tech-sphere to discover how other companies are doing things better, especially Management. - The company mantra is somewhat self-righteous. The so-called "RB way" is not the Holy Grail. - My manager was out of the country when I left; nonetheless, a ‘goodbye' email or similar would...

    Pros

SOCIAL -RBFC football team who train weekly and play in the London Fintech League. Great way to network with other companies in the space and games are always followed by a social afterwards. Whether you’re a player or a supporter, there’s always ways to get involved! Fun football socials such as bubble football! -End of Quarter parties for the entire office. Think 40s themed party on a ship in the middle of the...

-If you don’t like working in a fast paced company then this is not the place for you. Things will change regularly. The joys of working for an agile company! -Expect a baptism of fire (but in a good way). From day one you will have responsibility and will be expected to hit the ground running. There will be lots of “on the job” learning and you will be expected to do the extra reading and take ownership of your...

I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - You are given the freedom to develop your own role - as it's still a growing company, you can push to change or develop something if you see the space for it. - Working a respected and successful company paves the way for a very successful career - the experience you will gain here is invaluable. - No micro management - you are left to your job and your success is in your own hands - you are expected to regularly...

    Cons

Some downsides (although these will definitely be mended with time): - Training of new staff wasn't great. Although they do provide learning tools and seminars in your first few weeks, you are mostly expected to just get on with it and learn it all for yourself. I wasn't from a tech background, so learning the product was one of the main struggles. My first few weeks, I didn't have much to do and was just listening to...

    Advice to Management

Try and maintain the culture of the company - it's great! People are made to feel so welcome, even when several new people are starting every single week. I like the fact you don't have someone breathing down your neck all the time and that people have freedom with how and where they work. Things to improve is the overall training internally for the colleagues, to ensure they are really comfortable with the product...

I worked at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Applicable for London office : Amazing onboarding thanks to Franchesca.B People are very friendly. It’s not difficult at all to understand Receipt Bank. It’s very easy to access the senior management. (It’s not a real pro but you can eat fruits every day...) The best part : So much interesting things to do !!!

    Cons

Applicable for London office : Managers aren’t trained enough to handle the pressure. So what they start doing is micromanaging which can be counterproductive sometimes. Use of language internally: expect to hear the F word a lot... Managers forget to make sure their team are respectful to other teams.

    Advice to Management

Applicable for London office : Turnover will increase if RB allow middle managers to create a culture that allows micromanaging. (I left because I was demoralised and didn’t feel my manager trusted me) If you focus on looking for the “BEST” profiles in the job market , you will then start believe that having the best football players can easily win the champions league. That’s wrong. You need to focus on hiring...
