I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - All feedback and growth is not only geared for Receipt Bank but for skills that you can take anywhere. - There is freedom to create your own schedule but still having constant contact to keep you on track. Your success is directly related to what you put in and seek out. - Definite "Team" atmosphere with everyone contributing to the same company wide goal. We are competitive with each other but only for the reason...

    Cons

    - Only con I can think of is there are sometimes mis-communications with software updates or process changes between the different regions (offices) and the Team members.

    Advice to Management

    - Keep communicating necessary updates/changes to the team in a structured way. - Keep being as resourceful and helpful as you have been, it's awesome!

I worked at Receipt Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Receipt Bank was a great place to work two years ago, when it was a true start up. You will gain experience and receive constant feedback on your performance. Interesting to be in an industry experiencing such rapid change and advancement.

    Cons

Recent changes in the product and pricing have created a high-pressure sales environment, with a bait and switch product that leaves customers and the sales team frustrated.   Customers are consistently upset with the product and pricing. Expect to deal with complaints from many customers wanting to cancel within their first month. Employees and management consistently joke about there being no HR department. Complaints...

Hi, we are sorry that your journey at RB ended in a negative light. With any start-up there is always going to be growing pains and the culture will evolve, that being said we appreciate your feedback. We are sorry to see you go, and wish you all the best in your future endeavours.

I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Strong growth mindset for staff development and company goals. There is a close-knit feel to the teams and a welcoming atmosphere by the broader team in Australia. The fast paced growth provides a lot of opportunities to expand your skill set and try new things, calling on discipline and autonomy to drive success. The future outlook was never in doubt but is certainly improving as the culture shifts more towards service...

    Cons

With the fast paced growth there have been times that the direction of the teams were a bit disorganised and chaotic. Often times the product/team needs of the Australian region are harder to get prioritised due to the head office being located in the UK. Historically there was a culture of grow at all costs but this is now shifting back to placing the needs of the customer first and driving organic growth.

    Advice to Management

Keep the current course, defining the values and operating principles has shifted the focus in a positive way. Growth and change management aren't easy, but a steady approach with a clearly defined direction and strategy feel like a recipe for success.

SOCIAL -RBFC football team who train weekly and play in the London Fintech League. Great way to network with other companies in the space and games are always followed by a social afterwards. Whether you’re a player or a supporter, there’s always ways to get involved! Fun football socials such as bubble football! -End of Quarter parties for the entire office. -If you don’t like working in a fast paced company then this is not the place for you. Things will change regularly. The joys of working for an agile company! -Expect a baptism of fire (but in a good way). From day one you will have responsibility and will be expected to hit the ground running. There will be lots of “on the job” learning and you will be expected to do the extra reading and take ownership of your...

I have been working at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - You are given the freedom to develop your own role - as it's still a growing company, you can push to change or develop something if you see the space for it. - Working a respected and successful company paves the way for a very successful career - the experience you will gain here is invaluable. - No micro management - you are left to your job and your success is in your own hands - you are expected to regularly...

    Cons

Some downsides (although these will definitely be mended with time): - Training of new staff wasn't great. Although they do provide learning tools and seminars in your first few weeks, you are mostly expected to just get on with it and learn it all for yourself. I wasn't from a tech background, so learning the product was one of the main struggles. My first few weeks, I didn't have much to do and was just listening to...

    Advice to Management

Try and maintain the culture of the company - it's great! People are made to feel so welcome, even when several new people are starting every single week. I like the fact you don't have someone breathing down your neck all the time and that people have freedom with how and where they work. Things to improve is the overall training internally for the colleagues, to ensure they are really comfortable with the product...

I worked at Receipt Bank full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Applicable for London office : Amazing onboarding thanks to Franchesca.B People are very friendly. It’s not difficult at all to understand Receipt Bank. It’s very easy to access the senior management. (It’s not a real pro but you can eat fruits every day...) The best part : So much interesting things to do !!!

    Cons

Applicable for London office : Managers aren’t trained enough to handle the pressure. So what they start doing is micromanaging which can be counterproductive sometimes. Use of language internally: expect to hear the F word a lot... Managers forget to make sure their team are respectful to other teams.

    Advice to Management

Applicable for London office : Turnover will increase if RB allow middle managers to create a culture that allows micromanaging. (I left because I was demoralised and didn’t feel my manager trusted me) If you focus on looking for the “BEST” profiles in the job market , you will then start believe that having the best football players can easily win the champions league. That’s wrong. You need to focus on hiring...

    - Amazing opportunities to develop your skills and progress through the company. Advice to Management

I've had three managers at RB as I've progressed through different roles, and all three managers have been amazing in their own right and all three have helped me develop my skills in completely different areas. My advice to management would be to carry on doing what you're doing! But as new senior members of the team join, continue to make sure they understand our culture/ values and how we approach management at...

People are brilliant, hardworking, enthusiastic and love what they do, all of the people here are willing to do what it takes for the business to be successful, they care about their partners and fully buy into the Receipt Bank way There is a lot of new faces which is exciting, it shows the business is going fast, lots of experience coming in, not just in sales but across the board, Receipt Bank is certainly a business...

    Cons

Some of the people that manage the people are inexperienced and think they are owed a living, I have heard my manager on a number of occasions moaning about her job, which doesn’t fill me with confidence, plus I don’t want to hear it, they blame everyone else for the decisions that are made and never take the accountability themselves, which personally makes me feel they are weak.

    Advice to Management

Those that have been around for a long time are the ones that aren’t stepping up, not sure why, as the place is an exciting place to be working.
