    Pros

Great group of talented people that are dedicated to what they do.

    Cons

Balance of work in not achievable. The teams are small which makes it very difficult to do you best work. Too many objectives and projects for the amount of time and resources that are available as a result work-life balance is impacted.

    Not stable, look elsewhere

    Pros

Senior management has good intentions. The teams at the field level are great people and do great work despite challenges. If you are an attractive, young blonde woman from Queen's university, you are going to do great at the Home Office.

    Cons

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Senior management made some token moves to reduce the hierarchy from the "old guard" and ironically the company is less flat than ever. The politics rival that of many Crown Corporations. Senior management has a ridiculous ego. You cannot say "no" to Don--who doesn't make rational decisions. They are running the company like a marketing firm and not a restaurant company -- it's about serving good food to people at a price they are willing to pay. The menu development is a mess, pricing doesn't make any sense, branding has no clear differentiation. Senior management waffles on its decisions and makes poor choices in capital allocation. Spending millions on constructing a new building on land they don't even own makes no sense. Senior management is easily distracted by shiny toys that are expensive and deliver no ROI. Treatment of visible minorities is suspect -- the senior team are all old white men, who surround themselves with young white women. If you are not a graduate from Queen's university and fit the "mold" you have no prospect for promotion. If you are looking for a place where you need to watch your back all the time, live in constant fear and intimidation, this is the place for you!
