I have been working at Red Bend Software full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Currently company is in a process of continuance change and adoption of new agile methodologies: This indicates a mature and healthy long term view by the management team. The company hold a very sturdy foot hold in the field of Automotive connectivity enablement with no evidence of being taken by any sort of competition in the many years to come (to expensive to replace), so one could expect good job security. The company is at the spearhead of Automotive and IOT innovation efforts, when it comes to connectivity and development of a mature cloud based governing solution: many opportunities to make a real impact on this exponentially growing field and get your fingers wet with latest tech.
The company knows how to reward highly competent employees.

    Cons

Lots of legacy code to maintain and learn to live with.
Company still struggles to adopt new SDLC specifications, this creates unnecessary overhead for each new line of code you wish to add to code base.
Hard to make the jump from engineering to management.
Maintaining a monolith to support backward compatibility.

    Advice to Management

You are on the right track.
It would be wise to invest more in employee education and training to align with latest trends and good practices.

    Pros

It was a great company to work for. Interesting product and very nice people.

    Cons

The company was acquired by Harman, a huge company. It is now a company in transition with a poor integration process. It feels like it will leave a lot of casualties behind.

    Advice to Management

Think about what you can do to keep the good people and help with the integration.

    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Truly enjoyed working among the various teams.
Really loved the people and its atmosphere.
People were working hard to make great products.

    Cons

Unprofessional attitude of particular higher management.

Ignore the fact that some employee are just way too incompetent; doing nothing but blame people who are working earnestly.

    Advice to Management

Should learn how to control temper instead of intimidating their employees.

I worked at Red Bend Software full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are a high quality professionals in the engineering positions and team leaders.

It's very comfortable to work at Redbend if you need a quite place, where nothing moves over time.

    Cons

Nothing moves over time. Top management is dealing more with politics and dirty games, then with quality of product and employees needs. You only can grow by being a 'yes man' and more smiling to the top managers.

    Advice to Management

Less politics. More care of employees. New people should come to the top management.

I worked at Red Bend Software (More than 3 years)

    Pros

People at the office are very nice and helpful, also cheerful to communicate.
Support from company for working environment is pretty good (or too good).
Does not hesitate to invest to the future business.

    Cons

Only people who are "yes man" to the company will be successful.
Does not have much sense of "customer satisfaction."
Influence from Head office is too strong, no local control for the direction or the decision for business.

    Advice to Management

Please add more young blood in the top management.
Also politics are too strong, those shall be managed.
