I worked at Red Bull Media House full-time

    Pros

Great environment to work in. For working within the administrative side of the music industry, the pay is quite good. Benefits are good as well.

    Cons

Dealing with office politics is not fun. It felt more pronounced at RBMH than even at other music companies, which came as a surprise.

I worked at Red Bull Media House full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Travel, Benefits, working on amazing projects that actually do make an impact.

    Cons

At first working here seemed amazing, however, you quickly realize this company is built on a foundational boys club with too many who are promoted for their relationships not performance or simply had their title changed. It is great to see they have recently started promoting more woman and hiring POC. Be warned though that woman will be held to much more stringent rules than men and will have less opportunities to...

I have been working at Red Bull Media House for more than a year

    Pros

    - good salary - fun place to work - they appreciate if you think outside the box

    Cons

    - currently in terrible shape - massive layoff of hundreds of people - some managers only care about their interests and not about the brand

    Advice to Management

build on strength and grow from within

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Red Bull Media House full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Decent people overall, access to a lot of cool events. Heavy party culture from top to bottom. Not uncommon to find yourself partying until the sun comes up with your boss.

    Cons

Complacent people and vision from top to bottom. Most people talk about changing the direction of the brand, but nobody takes action. Everyone insists on "keep doing what works." A lot of older people point to the glory days as "what works." There is also a lack of alignment with counterparts in USA/Austria.

    Advice to Management

CHANGE! The brand is stale, the content is stale and the next wave of consumers has no interest in Red Bull as a product, brand or media company.

I have been working at Red Bull Media House

    Pros

Fun place to work, exactly what you would expect. Great balance between work and play.

    Cons

Management/Leadership skills. Lack of focus on overall department strategy.

  8. Great culture for younger professionals, scattered leadership.

I have been working at Red Bull Media House

      Pros

Pay is good and minimal micromanagement. Flexible schedule as long as you get your work done. Very fun events and parties.

      Cons

Leadership indecision. Company is largely run out of Austria making it hard to gel as one unit and advance in the States.

      Advice to Management

      More one-on-one time

I worked at Red Bull Media House full-time for more than 4 years

      Pros

Award winning product built by a good team, then it went downhill form there.

      Cons

Experienced leadership was let go. New leadership is green and subdued to the clueless leadership @headquarters. There is no more team, divas run wild and out of control. Path forward is driven by inflated egos and/or fear.

      Advice to Management

Any such action would be an exercise in futility...
