    Pros

The people that have been working there have been working there for years, it's very much like a big family.

    Cons

Like any restaurant, its very time consuming. You don't really have a personal life.

    Advice to Management

The corporate headquarters are in Orlando, and it's really tough if your not a veteran to get in front of the faces there. So I would say to the Senior Management, make a few phone calls for the managers that are qualified to cross over to corporate, and get the ball rolling for them.

    Pros

i work at the number one red lobster in the country. the team work and experience is exceptional. I feel as though it's my second home.

    Cons

the income is economy based so there is not always a guarantee that you will have that set income you need to pay bills.

    Advice to Management

the managers tend to care more about the store and less about you as a person

Good at their jobs, been the industry for 20 plus years and now how to operate a red lobster so that is fun for everyone.

    Pros

the hours and the pay were great as were the people i worked with. I would encourage anyone to take this position.

    Cons

some times the guests were a little rude and a little snotty. You left every night smelling like you were bathing in fish

    Advice to Management

I would suggest that you continue to hire top notch servers and continue changing your menu items while sticking with the old classics.

    Pros

Very good money in a embodiment that promotes team work it was a fair and friendly environment to work in

    Cons

Long hours and hard to multitask, need more flex with time off. Ran out of food way too much which effected tips

    Advice to Management

More rewards offered for add on sales such as appetizers, drinks, and desserts. Create competitions that give rewards and will motivate

    Pros

    - Competitive Pay
    - Great Benefits
    - Great Company (Darden): industry leader, competent management (from what I've interacted with)
    - Opportunity. If you truly care about the guests, restaurant, and company, then you can make your job very enjoyable and pleasant

    Cons

    - If you're a hard worker, that's great. Unfortunately not everyone is a hard worker. Be ready to take one for the team every now and then by helping someone else do part of their job. In other words, be a team player, although sometimes it can be a bit excessive (covering someone else's responsibilities. But, for the most part, Darden employs high quality people that contribute to a team effort, high guest satisfaction, and an overall great company.
    - My experience with the management has been very good (contrary to what other reviews say), they are all competent leaders and genuinely care about the guests, employees, restaurant, and the company.

    Advice to Management

    - Screen your potential employees (applicants) a bit more. There is a significant difference in how the restaurant is performing for the guests when you have a team-oriented staff operating vs. a combination of a team and individuals. If you are a team player and you enjoy the Food and Hospitality Industry (or you're just trying to have a night job during college) then Darden is where you want to be. Great guests, great team, great food!

    Pros

Advancement options for workers who want to be in management. Fun, relaxed environment. Management shows that they care and are there for their employees.

    Cons

I did not have many problems with this company. The only thing I can think of is problems with some of the co-workers but the management resolves it in a fair manor.

    Advice to Management

Focusing on advancement options and training really helps the workers become motivated and improve on their work. Always ask employees to suggest ways to improve their work environments, it worked well for my location.

    Pros

Full benefits available for part time workers. 25% food discount at all Darden restaurants. Friendly managers and other staff. Great place to work overall.

    Cons

Sometimes, the job could be a little more challenging. Some rules limit employee's potential in effort to help newer, less experienced employees do well.
