I have been working at Red Robin full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

RedRobin has been recognized numerous times for their training level and knowledge. They are a strong brand name, with great results.

    Cons

In keeping current and up to date, I feel they can’t focus on seeing one thing through. So results could be even better then what their seeing .

I worked at Red Robin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Team becomes family. Lots of regulars, guest connections fun and exciting

    Cons

I wanted to work at RR for their vision and team first approach. Sadly, decisions were made at the corporate level that put overwhelming burden on the FOH team. As positions were cut quickly, there was no plan in place to help the team transition into their new role as expo, runner, busser and server. Service was expected to stay the same while the team was not given the tools they needed to succeed. The need to save labor actually caused longer wait times due to tables not being turned in a timely manner and guests frequently voiced their concern for slow service and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

I worked at Red Robin full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great training for managers. Easy to move up if you are good and you have a good Regional Manager. It’s easier to move up if you work at a store with other quality managers. Working with a bad team will wear on you and the store results will make you look bad.

    Cons

Bad management teams work positions more then they coach them. Bad managers work positions instead of fixing the problem. Some Red Robin servers are lifers. They think they know it all. Put your foot down. They will fight your authority. Red Rebin has a large and loyal customer base. In the pass managers have comped their meals after every complaint. The customers are use to getting free food. Unlimited fry baskets will drive you crazy. 4 minute cook time with 3 minute shelf life...lol.

I have been working at Red Robin

    Pros

Too many pros to list but for starters... flexible schedules, competitive pay, good food and drinks, great network and resources.

    Cons

Hard labor, tons of knowledge and ever changing menu. Have to work with lots of younger people so hard to direct them at times.

I worked at Red Robin full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people you serve and the people that work with you

    Cons

The people you serve can also be a hassle and employees can be of the younger nature and unreliable. But most importantly since Red Robin become a Publicly Traded Company the overall direction changed. Red Robin used to emphasis taking care of team members and having a great environment of support for there employees. After becoming a public company that completely changed to staffing less which stresses team members/overworking them. This also results in the guest experience suffering resulting in more work for everyone and poor tips for the service employees.
