I worked at Redbox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I loved my co workers. They were always helpful and it was a very laid back fun environment.

    Cons

I would get bored easily because a lot of the tasks were repetitive. (Machine tech)

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. I loved the open line of communication and the monthly employee reviews really helped me get a grasp on my performance.

I worked at Redbox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The manager of the department really makes or breaks whether you will like it or not. Working in the Redbox Corporate office is great. Flexible work hours, work from home up to 3 days per month, PTO and floating holidays. My manager has made the department feel like a family and all of my immediate co-workers are great! I have worked here for 2 1/2 years and love it with the only reason I'm leaving is to move for my husband's job.

    Cons

Lots of instability throughout the rest of the company. Sometimes there is miscommunications between Outerwall corporate and Redbox that can make our lives difficult.

    Pros

Flexible schedule, the benefits and paid time off are awesome! Not micro managed, work independently and unsupervised.

Will spend a lot of time driving and sitting in traffic. If you're an impatient person, then it's not for you.

    Advice to Management

Continue recognizing individual achievements and award for hard work, it makes better employees.

I worked at Redbox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Amazing culture. I didn't realize what that meant until I worked at a place that felt like family. I met some of the smartest and most talented people here.

    Cons

Coinstar's ownership ruined it. Its not like what it used to be, and they gutted some very important departments that could've kept the unstoppable innovation going.

I worked at Redbox as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

-Great Community, everyone there was very nice and talented
    -Paid internship
-Got to work on many different projects, looked great on my resume
-Free soda in the vending machines ;)

    Cons

My only issue was the commute. You really need a car to work there. There are no sidewalks in the area, and public transportation is spotty at best. Can't blame the company for that though.

    Advice to Management

There were a few times where my payment came a little late. This would have been a big issue if I needed the money to pay rent or something. To be honest this was probably because I was the first intern that they ever had.
