    Pros

The best reason to work at Redbox are the bennifits. I have never known a company to start their employees with three weeks of vacation.

    Cons

The only real downside is that is is difficult to get a real day off. Having to get the work completed with in a weekly dead line means that a day off is only pushing your work back a day.

I worked at Redbox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pace is extremely fast and priorities can sometimes change within hours. If you have an entrepreneurial mindset, this is definitely the right place for you.

    Cons

The pace is extremely fast, which can at times feel more chaotic than exhilirating. Leadership is one-way (top-down) instead of collaborative.

    Advice to Management

Innovative ideas will come if you open yourself to more collaboration instead of dictating in a command-and-control top-down style.

I have been working at Redbox full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are many employee benefits including, but not limited to, tuition reimbursement, wellness reimbursement, paid time off, random gifts occasionally, and catered food occasionally.

    Cons

Machine Support is a 24/7 operation and has to work on holidays, which is the only downside to working for this department/company.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if upper management held more meetings to communicate policies, procedures, and other information to the departments that are located away from the main office.

    Advice to Management

Provide cross training opportunities for growth and consider giving more responsibility to field employees who want to increase their role within the company.

    Pros

-Great benefits and perks for their coworkers.
    -Positive outlook and goals.
-Mostly great coworkers and team members.

    Cons

-Management can be either useless or too brash in their decision making.
-Hard workers can sometimes be overlooked instead of commended.

    Advice to Management

Recognize which of your employees (including lower management) are actually doing all the work and which are useless.

I have been working at Redbox full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working environment, informal dress code, mostly great people

    Cons

Leadership seems very reactionary, with little longer-term vision. Coinstar culture has killed much of the entrepreneurial spirit that used to make redbox exciting to work for. It has gotten more political, with business teams expanding quickly without corresponding investment in technology...not enough vetting of ideas before having tech spend time on them; then there is little accountability and ROI calculation after implementation.

    Advice to Management

Go back to basics, reward teams that actually show measurable value

I have been working at Redbox full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Very generous compensation. Great benefits. Great feild employees

    Cons

Corporate has no idea what field employees are put through. They are given more and more work but no more hours to get it done. Field managers and RM's under a great deal to do magic. If not no matter how long you have been there they are willing to kick you to the curb! Very sad.

    Advice to Management

Treat your field employees like you value them. Let the Regional Managers manage their own style. Not everyone manages by intimidation.
