I have been working at Redstone Federal Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Community envolvement, competitive pay(over minimum wage), room for moving up, vacation and sick time, managers

    Cons

Can be stressful when understaffed, go to meetings that require you to be at work earlier than usual, potential risk of robbery

    Advice to Management

I really don't understand all this ranting from other people. I love my management staff at my branch (branch is middle sized). This company is envolved in the North Alabama area. I've never had a bad experience with other employees and higher management. They always look for a way to yes to our members, and give them options and solutions.

    Pros

The company has a great overall morale and upper management are willing to meet with entry level employees to assure them that they are part of an overall team.

    Cons

The benefits could be better and at a lower cost to the employee.

I have been working at Redstone Federal Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Great Co-Workers
    -Competitive Benefits
    -Thorough Training
-Great Company Culture for the most part

    Cons

Smaller branches are typically short staffed. It can take a long time to hire in new tellers for the smaller branches, and that puts a strain on current branch employees, which equals unhappy customers.
Expect to work on Saturdays at least 3 times a month if you work at a smaller branch.
Tellers are the first impression of the company at all branches, and deserve recognition, continued training, and adequate breaks to maintain retention and morale.

I worked at Redstone Federal Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

regular reviews, room to grow within the company, potluck parties every once in a while, discounts with community businesses

    Cons

working at busy branches meant frustrated members = rude and grumpy transactions, some co-workers were very lazy which made it difficult to enjoy the job you were doing

    Advice to Management

invest in the employees, not just the member's experience

I have been working at Redstone Federal Credit Union full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A good thing is that I like most of my coworkers and hours and health benefits are reasonable.

    Cons

I joined Redstone a couple years ago with really high hopes I heard it was a good place to work but Ive been really disappointed. Management is not good and it doesn't seem to matter to anyone, no one seems to care how bad they are. We have to go to training classes like accountability training but it is a lot of nonsense and a waste of time. Its like management is trying to blame everything on us by saying were not accountable when obviously they are the problem because they make all the decision. Also pay is lower than it should be and dont even think about asking for a raise you'll never get one. I guess they save all the money for management who are not even good at there jobs.

    Advice to Management

Quit and promote or hire people who are actually good at there jobs.
