I have been working at Reebok part-time

    Pros

They start their team leads at a competitive wage (still not as high as it should be)

Decent discount on shoes and clothes

My particular store is run by a awesome guy that doesn't micro-manage every little thing.

Since Reebok is owned by Adidas, career opportunities are pretty decent.

    Cons

They have way too many conference calls that end up pulling the store manager to the back for hours at a time sometimes leaving 1 person on the floor.

Upper management is a slave to the conversion metric and will come down on the employees when the number is too low. This causes a bit of animosity towards customers just coming in to get out of the heat or just looking around because their significant other is in another store.

They have cut pretty much every full time position so the staff ends up being filled with people who receive 1 or 2 days a week. They then wonder why the employee turnover is so bad.

No benefits for part time which is about 95% of the positions in the company.

    Advice to Management

Lay off the conference calls. I know that they could be the only things justifying some of your positions but they are hurting store productivity.

Offer more full time positions. This will help the turnover issue and boost morale as well.
