    Pros

The ability to create is lovely, accept for the face that the upper management does not appreciate too much creativity. The position was supposed to be a design focused job, it ended up being "whatever the V.P. likes goes, the "traditional styles" never changed, even though the focus was "there."Disappointing from a designer.

    Cons

There is a small cubicle environment with florescent lights and unfavorable and miserable people who congregate in the bathrooms to chat on their phones.

    Advice to Management

I recommend that you understand the new age of working, allow a work from home life balance. Allow creativitiy and motion.

    Pros

the "pros" area has been left blank intentionally for purposes of trying to reach the glass door twenty word minimum

    Cons

I read all the horrible reviews and thought how bad could it possibly be? Well, I should have listened. It's much worse than everything I read. Miserable environment, disgruntled employees, cubical layout, micro managers, degrading, belittling, constant hostility. Employees come and go faster than you realize their names and positions.

I have been working at Reeves International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None. A few decent people who work there.

    Cons

The owner/CEO has zero management skills as well as anger management issues -- this in turn trickles down to all levels of employees and creates a very chaotic, stressful and depressing work environment. Any amount of hard work you do will go unappreciated, so do not expect any rewards, most certainly not monetarily. Raises are never given, not even a cost of living pay increase. Insurance is extremely expensive and 401Ks are not matched. Taking vacation days is very much frowned upon. Turnover within the company is constant -- you're either forced out the door or miserable enough to quit within a year. The owner of the company loves to fire his employees to try to prove his power status. Overall, the place is a complete and utter mess due to poor management.

    Advice to Management

Productivity is increased with respect - learn to respect and value your employees, especially those that deserve it. Leadership classes should be mandatory before attempting to run a company.

I have been working at Reeves International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None except if you are the type to enjoy not actually doing work, and love taking credit for work done by others or appreciate being praised and rewarded for messing up.

    Cons

There is no rhyme or reason to the understanding of this company. No one is held accountable and those who show interest, loyalty and do their job above and beyond get fired. All long term old timers (less than a handful) are not shown any appreciation for their service, not even a thank you or card. So don't expect a thank you ever unless you're the type to enjoy working unethically.

    Advice to Management

Wise up because even you are not immune to your own hand.

    Pros

Location close to major highways. Friendly co-workers.

    Cons

Poor Leadership, Poor Management across the board. Management does not know how to lead or build relationships with their employees. Leads only by position and force. Medical benefits are very expensive. Company doesn't contribute to 401k. Company doesn't comply with their own policies and procedures. No growth within the company. No salary increases. Very high turnover rate. Non-managers also expected to work long hours and is frowned upon if you leave on time. Your time is constantly being monitored and management focuses only on the time when you arrive and doesn't care how late you stay, I quote. Not a healthy work environment. You should always be on guard on losing your job. They love to fire people every year around the holidays. They also terminate people without good cause. Business is declining at a rapid due to lack of management and leadership skills especially in the sales department.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to focus on leadership and set goals for employees and add value to them rather then lead by position and position. I am a strong believer in leadership and if they want to increase performance, productivity and their bottom line, they should be concentrating on helping their employees reach their goals and in turn, they will help the company reach their goals.

    Pros

Great co-workers (a majority of), good products, & a nice town to work in

    Cons

You are expected to give 200% and only receive 10% back. The benefits (if you want call them that) no company contributions toward medical/dental or 401k, no cost of living increases. The environment is very stressful & hostile at times (from upper management).

    Advice to Management

Try investing in people and maybe you'll see an increase,in your bottom line. If you want to keep & attract good & talented individuals then maybe you should look at the root cause of this companies issues. It seems that those individuals (Upper management ) need to realize that they be the cause of their own issues & need to stop blaming other things & people for the major issues of this company.

I worked at Reeves International as an intern

    Pros

If you need immediate money and can not find another job than this is the job for you. Please keep in mind the average employee only has about a 3 month span before they find a reason to fire you or make your life so miserable you quit. There are no pros other than earning a paycheck.

    Cons

Upper management including the owner of the company, ceo and supervisors treat everyone poorly. The owner and ceo along with a few select managers verbally abuse lower ranking employees on a daily basis. The owner and ceo have no idea Reeves is actually operates. The warehouse located in wayne looks like a dump. Extremely outdated equipment. They try to force "mandatory overtime" on employees constantly. Employees barely make more than minimum wage and get treated like garbage. There is a permanent help wanted sign for almost all positions at reeves, it is like a revolving door. Even with management positions, the average supervisor makes it there no longer than 6 months to a year. There is no leadership skills in the management at Reeves only finger pointers when something goes wrong. No formal training program either, you are dumped into a position and expected to figure it out on your own.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat, respect and talk to people like they are human beings not garbage. The owner, Ceo and distribution manager all need a lesson in formal management and anger management classes.

I worked at Reeves International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are passionate about horses and the positive effect they have on people of all ages, a job could have potential.

    Cons

Employees come and go like the seasons. Anyone with real talent cannot abide by the work environment; the company is more concerned with the bottom line than product quality or the interaction with their collectors. If they ever really knew how disinterested upper management was with them, collectors or parents would never purchase the product again. The are milking an industry based on childlike innocence and dreams, which do not deserve to be taken advantage of. They have lost sight of the power of their product.

    Advice to Management

Bring the products back to the USA and improve the quality, which has gone into the toilet since going to China. Stop priding yourselves on how much someone will pay for a plastic horse and concentrate on how much better you can make a person's life - the end user and your employees. Have Stephanie retire.
