Negative Culture, Mediocre Wines
Jan 15, 2023 - On-Premise Sales Representative in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great medical benefits, 401(k) with matching is above the industry standard, gas card, monthly car stipend, and sample bottle budget. If you have a great manager you will enjoy your time here.
Cons
Employees get promoted and moved around in positions constantly. Poor management. Very cultish culture—it honestly feels like a sorority.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Nice place to work, happy to have been there
Cons
A little tough to grow unless you're well liked
- Former Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Don't do it
Oct 24, 2022 - Associate Sales Executive in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Wine discounts and a trip to their vineyards. Gas card.
Cons
- Early hours (3:30 am) - Using your own car - Catering to grocery store liquor department managers (who ignore you unless you give them with free wine or dedicate your entire day to help them stock their shelves) - Low pay (imagine $33K base living in LA - back in 2018) - Unattainable bonus structure - Competition had better incentives for store managers than us - Working alongside competitor reps stocking shelves and it was a very unfriendly atmosphere

Not The Best Damn Wine Company
Oct 18, 2022 - Retail Specialist Key Accounts in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A shirt and tie isn’t required in the field like at the large distributors.
Cons
Good looking white males fit in well. Those who have personal relationships with senior management and/or ownership get promoted. It is a struggle for the rest of us.
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Everyone is very welcoming and make you feel apart of the family. They really want you to succeed and move up in the company.
Cons
Lower hourly rate but the bonus and incentives help!
- Former Employee, more than 5 years★★★★★
