I worked at Regency Beauty Institute

    Pros

Three weeks vacation. Submitted in advance it will likely be approved. Good continous training throughout career at Regency. Able to help people get an education that might not have done it without your help. Very Rewarding. Lots of opportunities for advancements in other departments. Its a good environment with a fun atmosphere. Nice facility and lots of free parking for employees. Only expected to 40 hours...

    Cons

Stressful position. Must meet goals. Micromanaged. 100% inside phone sales...make sure you can handle this prior. The schedule maybe changed, beyond your control. You will have to work two late nights during a week but this may change in the future.

    Advice to Management

Be more straight forward about payscale. Inform employees prior to hiring on the exact date of reviews for pay raise and the expected pay scale based on performance.

I worked at Regency Beauty Institute for less than a year

    Pros

Friendly environment to work in, great location, and the students were mostly easy going. At times the hours could et long, but it was overall a good place to work.

    Cons

Very unorganized, and management was very unconcerned with the lack of a work/life balance. Sales driven, and not really focused on the student experience unless they were missing classes.

    Advice to Management

Put more focus on the employees and the students. It was not easy to have to just cut students off just because the manager said to do so, even though they didn't even know anything about the student.

I worked at Regency Beauty Institute

    Pros

Co- workers were dedicated and industry wise.

    Cons

Micro manage employees and no understanding of famy issues.

    Advice to Management

Under severe weather think of employees and road conditions over profits - your work culture is punitive and disrespectful.

I worked at Regency Beauty Institute full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Schedule doesn't run to late 7:30pm on the late days and 1 saturday a month is typical. The other employees are nice and welcoming. They have a nice building and the break room is really good.

    Cons

Where to begin? The higher ups are IDIOTS! They have their heads firmly planted in their own butts. They do not listen to the bottom level employees and are always changing up their strategy and reinventing the brand and company image. This has lead to major drops in enrollments and a huge lack of work for the admissions department. I am convinced they will be laying people off soon or bankrupt the way they blow money...

    Advice to Management

Admissions reps. Quit your jobs and take some time to re-evaluate the way you treat people. You do not belong in charge of anyone and you are two faced. To the CEO and Hayes. Stop re inventing yourself. you will never be the harvard of beauty colleges this is a rediculous company. Go back to what works and get rid of this failed attempt.
