I worked at Regency Beauty Institute

    Pros

Fun Admissions department - really focused on the right things and to better student's lives. Field staff has passion!

    Cons

Horrible culture, top down management, leadership staff is not equipped with the right people. Accounting leader - CFO? is extremely demeaning and arrogant. Micro-managing is at an all time high. Always a surprise around the corner of something closing or someone leaving. Many employees are miserable but are scared to say anything.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people! They have lots of great ideas.

I worked at Regency Beauty Institute full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary, benefits, campus, curriculum, computerized learning

    Cons

Due to lack of experienced middle level leadership and subjective management decision making styles there was no hope of being successful. Micro management and lack of support made for a fairly negative environment and a fair amount of unhappy staff.

    Advice to Management

Check and balance the integrity of your leadership and seek to develop your people

I have been working at Regency Beauty Institute part-time

    Pros

They really do care about results for students.

    Cons

The way they deliver results for students. How they manage people. Crushing micro-management. People get discouraged and either leave or get swept out in the next re-org. (Or they get swept out in the re-org for no godo reason and the position gets re-filled a few months later.) Management never asks itself why it can't help people be successful. Everyone is just a bit part in...

    Advice to Management

Hold yourself accountable - are you delivering a strategy or are you just supervisors? Stop telling people how to do their jobs and start focusing on what you need from them and help them produce it.
