I worked at Regency Hospital (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay was good but not great

    Cons

In 2 years time there were 5 CNO'S 4 of them bullies. They have nurses that should not even be allowed to work due to medication errors which aren't reported to OBN. The favoritism is ridiculous especially when nurses are no call no shows repeatedly and they still have a job. They have nurses that can't walk or hear and use biohazard container to sit on or walk down hallway pushing a chair. The day shift charge picks and chooses who they want to help and if your not part of her "in crowd" you will not receive any help. The place is depressing because 95% of the patients will never get better but this place supports keeping them alive because it's for profit and they make thousands of dollars each day...they are a cash cow. There is no teamwork and management supports racism and if your not a black nurse you may as well quit because you will never advance within the company. This place will suck your soul right out of you....it was probably built on an old Indian burial ground. The education for a new hire is absurd and they will tell you that all hospitals want to hire their nurses because of the education but that's a lie...hospitals won't hire you because they look at this hospital as if it were a nursing home. Lastly the nursing assistants run the show and it is tolerated by management...my advice is RUN.

    Advice to Management

Hire all new management starting with HR. Get rid of the old and bring in the new

I worked at Regency Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overall, there were some great individuals with great personalities.

    Cons

I’m not sure what happened or what cause the weirdness. The nurses and Cnas would argue about going into the patient rooms. I was told sometimes , that’s not my job, go find such and such by both parties. Never in a million years, have I ever witness people act like this. It now makes me skeptical when my family members go to the hospital. Like do some of these people really enjoy helping people or did they do it for the money? It was exhausting, dealing with that everyday. I put in my two weeks and removed myself from the negativity. All the nurses did not act like this, their were good nurses who know exactly what I’m talking about. I was told plenty of times yep we know , we just ignore it. How can i ignore it, when i have a patient calling the desk requesting service and two people arguing back and forth about not going to to the room. It was awful

    Advice to Management

Turning your head on everything, will cause you to lose employees. You can place the blame on the employees who up and left all you want. But , we know the place is headed toward failure , If the issue is not address. I️ have witness Lazy nurses who literally makes the CNA do all the work, CNAs who up and quit because they have no help , or can’t get help.

    Pros

pay for most jobs are a lot higher than other places, especially nursing. There is a lot of incentives and fun competions to encourage workflow.

    Cons

Depending on which campus you work at, this job can be very demanding. It is often short staffed and very stressful. Also some management issues and because of that a lot of people tend to quit working here.
