    Pros

Being a part of a great team at the theater level.

    Cons

Benefits are minimal and only there because state required.

    Advice to Management

Show the employees that they are the most valuable part of the company. They can make you or break you.

I worked at Regency Theatres part-time

    Pros

Free popcorn and you can watch free movies, they usually let you bring in a friend or two, people here kinda cool I guess

    Cons

Customers are incredibly painful to work with, very little opportunity to move up, hours vary greatly depending on the amount of customers

    Advice to Management

My advise to management is have more constant hours and not cut hours short. People have bills to pay and they're not taking this job for their love of theater maintenance.

I worked at Regency Theatres part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing co-workers, lots of camaraderie and similar interests between co-workers. Almost everyone is easy to talk to and we had a lot of fun on the job.

    Cons

Management at many times don't seem to care.
Made employees do some questionable tasks.
Some rewards, especially during busy movie releases.
It's a weekend job. Weekends are required.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your employees have to say. Many of them get their suggestions ignored and the company ends up changing for the worse.

I worked at Regency Theatres part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You were allowed popcorn on your breaks as well as watching the movies playing, although it was pointless since your lunch break was only about half an hour.

    Cons

Immature staff, age group ranged between 16-24 years old. Definitely not recommended for anybody older than that. Awful pay and very short hours.

    Advice to Management

Manging a movie theater is no great feat, please get off your high horse and stop acting like it.

    "The worst job"

I worked at Regency Theatres part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The free movies are great. You can go any time.
You get free popcorn every shift that you work.
    Your coworkers are pretty great.
Flexible schedule, so good if you're in school.

    Cons

    Lack of hours
    Lack of growth opportunities
    No respect for staff
    Cleaning up human feces
    Overstaffing
No time and a half on holidays
Bare min pay for a thankless job

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that you respect them. Pay them time and a half, they deserve holiday pay. Show that you care about your theaters and fix them up rather than letting them fall apart.

  10. "Good first job, but terrible management"

I have been working at Regency Theatres part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great sense of teamwork. Especially if your theatre location is a small one.
Good place to pick up basic job skills in customer service.
    Free popcorn and soda.
    Flexible schedule.
Lots of downtime to bond with coworkers.

Being able to see movies for free is a perk, but the policy on it is somewhat dumb (cannot be on a weekend, movie must be out of the first week of showing, can only bring one person with you, must have a manager notify theatre of your arrival, you have to sign something when you arrive)

    Cons

Corporate is full of cheap, greedy business mongols. They will make sure you get paid as minimum as possible.
No benefits. At all. In fact, your hours are capped at 28.5/week (even managers) because to go over 30 would force them to pay your insurance.
If your GM doesn't favor you, prepare to get virtually no hours at all.
No raises, even for those working for over 2 years.
Corporate is way too cheap to update their equipment, hence the reputation of Regency as being a rundown theatre.
Employee discounts are a joke. $1 off concessions.

    Advice to Management

Try actually caring about your employees and treat them like people rather than expendable drones.
