I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

First place I have ever worked that cares about the well being of their people. We get barbecues, breakfast every Friday, a decent holiday party every year and the week after Christmas off. If you have an idea to improve your group or department it's encouraged. Plenty of room to grow as you gain experience.

    Cons

Training and communication are still the biggest issues that need tackling on all levels.

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very generous to employees (get to leave early before holidays, free breakfast on Fridays, etc.), challenging but rewarding work with plenty of room for growth.

    Cons

Rapid expansion has led to oftentimes crowded laboratories and cube farms. Fast-paced environment leads to regular overtime work and last-minute changes.

I worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

    Ability to learn and grow
    Understanding management
    Great benefits

    Cons

MFG is treated very differently than rest of Company, for obvious reasons, but there should be compensation for that
    Cut throat Competition
Clueless Managers who want nothing to do with their employees

    Advice to Management

Make employees feel valued and included. Strive to become a better manager of your people, not just to push product out.

    Pros

The people made the company amazing. They hire the smartest, most dedicated people and try hard to make sure people fit well into the culture.

    Cons

There was generally a lack of transparency of growth potential for junior level positions

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

    Compensation is very competitive.

    Cons

Very little regard for science or quality. Production drives or decides everything, and Quality is too ignorant to push back effectively. QA/QC labs are minimized in the face of production demands for a normal schedule. Although digital, quality systems are decades behind. Experience from other companies is not at all valued, leaving this company lacking in standards. Contrary to company rhetoric, Regeneron has a huge focus on PR and propaganda, and the environment unofficially promotes those who unquestioningly spread it, favoring the socially dominant and soft-skilled people over those with tangible merit that would be recognized and appreciated by any industry-standard external observer.

    Advice to Management

Learn humility as separate from weakness. Listen and learn from peers and subordinates who are closer to the day-to-day. Paychecks don't solve everything. And paychecks don't mean you know everything.

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Like the job, manager, etc

    Cons

Shocked when I asked the HR person for help on a personal issue. She dismissed me, never made the next meeting, called my manager to know what I wanted, and now my manager thinks I was complaining. So much for confidentiality. I had to explain my personal issue. Embarrassing. Told there have already been many complaints. HR is pushing them under the rug.

    Advice to Management

The HR person assigned to my department is clueless. She is never around or available and is nasty when you can get her. I just found out she is new to HR and has little training and no supervision. She needs an HR course or two,

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pioneering medications; science based; well managed financially

    Cons

Weak benefits v. Other biotech firms (lousy 401k, PTO, stock option grants, total comp); unorganized internal departments

    Advice to Management

Classic “take care of human capital”; offer tremendously improved 401k and match (e.g. 6%); clearly established career path options
