I worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

The company is a leading biotech and exciting technology and products. Pays well and stock option may be a value.

    Cons

Life balance is poor. Management is not doing a good job and put too much pressure on employees. Stock options become less valuable.

    Advice to Management

Try to focus on people's strengths. Do not micro manage. Create more opportunities for dialogues. Hear more feedback from employees.

Treat your Temps like employees and not temps. Make them feel like they are worth as much as perm employees

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Like the job, manager, etc

    Cons

Shocked when I asked the HR person for help on a personal issue. She dismissed me, never made the next meeting, called my manager to know what I wanted, and now my manager thinks I was complaining. So much for confidentiality. I had to explain my personal issue. Embarrassing. Told there have already been many complaints. HR is pushing them under the rug.

    Advice to Management

The HR person assigned to my department is clueless. She is never around or available and is nasty when you can get her. I just found out she is new to HR and has little training and no supervision. She needs an HR course or two,

I have been working at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pioneering medications; science based; well managed financially

    Cons

Weak benefits v. Other biotech firms (lousy 401k, PTO, stock option grants, total comp); unorganized internal departments

    Advice to Management

Classic “take care of human capital”; offer tremendously improved 401k and match (e.g. 6%); clearly established career path options

I worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals full-time

    Pros

Very vibrant and innovative culture. Lot of partying, lunch meetings, hot breakfast on Fridays for everyone, excellent christmas party.

    Cons

No clear direction. Middle management is very old fashioned and want to keep the same practices that they followed when it was a 100 people company. Recipe for disaster. The QC and QA leadership needs to change.
