Such specialized work makes the job boring

Mar 28, 2023 - Senior Project Associate in Troy, NY

    Business Outlook

    Pros

A lot of senior management has been there for decades so they believe in specializing folks and not much room for stretch opportunities. Some folks like the stability though.

    Cons

A lot of levels created which leads to small pay bumps during tenure.

    Pros

Stock options ... But if they are really a pro is debatable considering they take so long to vest Hours to leave on bank holidays Canteen isn't too bad onsite cafe also Onsite barbeques in summer, car wash, clean facilities Meet a lot of genuinely nice people in Regeneron Good overall caring team mates Good work ethic from most people have a few here and there that can't keep the pace

    Cons

high turnover means experienced longer term staff can't focus on moving up in roles as constantly having to train new employees Little to absolutely no flexibility Manual processes Overload for workload Find it hard to de-stress in evenings and weekends because of how overwhelming the workload is day to day at peak times Crushing deadlines and expectations Absent managers - want assistance with questions when carrying out a task first time, from time to time, met with a figure it out yourself mindset a lot of the time Issue in Regeneron is work load may be fine at once stage and then drowning in work another stage How promotions are granted should be revisited .. seems like promotions are based on how many years a person is within the company not the level of output a person produces - some of the staff their for years take a back seat and are being paid more than harder workers below them Feels like people who do nothing get more support and smiles from management than the best workers

    what you hear is true

Mar 24, 2023 - Anonymous Employee in Tarrytown, NY
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

A lot of team work and great people to work with. Pay is decent, although not the best. High growth, with some growing pains. Best to get some experience and then move on.

    Cons

I was weary to join due to what I heard about the work life balance. The work life balance here is the worst I've ever experienced. The work is fast paced, sink or swim, and extremely stressful. Not really worth the pay, and the salary is not high when you take into account the cost of living in the surrounding areas. There is a lot of turnover. The leadership turns a blind eye to a lot of the problems they create and blame employees for not liking the environment.
