Aug 26, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Tarrytown, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Able to still learn new things while on the job, very fast moving and dynamic environment. Great coworkers and morale everybody seems happy. Great teamwork but a lot of dinosaurs not doing much but earning the big salaries
Cons
Growing Pains, bureucracry on the rise, endless and waste of time. Need to streamline their R&D a lot of disconnection among the groups. Terrible location for commuters.

Outdated management treats non doctorate research staff as robotic pawns
Jun 19, 2021 - Senior R&D Specialist in Tarrytown, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Competitive salary for New York Free food lying around
Cons
If you work in R&D, better make sure you have a PhD! Otherwise, they will not take you seriously. Be prepared to level off after 2-3 promotions for the rest of your career at the Senior or Lead R&D Specialist level no matter how hard you work. They will find reasons to tell you why you are not good enough. Management has antiquated ideas about people being the best when they are together so are offering no post covid flexibility to work from home. Meanwhile do not expect to get appreciation for your contributions and no presentation opportunities to showcase and take ownership for your work, because your graduate degree holding boss will get all the glory for overseeing the work you did.

Pros
• Sense of stability, no fear of job loss (at this time - May 2022)
Cons
• The company will hire new people with little to no experience and those new people will make as much as tenured people who have been in their roles for several years. No adjustments will be made. • Promotion raises are pitiful and non-negotiable. They’re set to an arbitrary percent of your current salary despite you taking on additional responsibilities and stress. • This whole “hybrid” part remote, part in office model the commercial org is counterproductive. You are to come on site to show your face to the powers that be that oftentimes aren’t even there themselves, but there’s no guarantee any other team will be there making it utterly pointless. • Same low quality food except now we’re required to order lunch through an app that doesn’t work 80% of the time instead of being able to place orders face to face in the cafeteria. • Pressuring people take these surveys when you have no intent of changing what matters most to your employees. How many years have people been asking for career development pathways, preceptorship programs for lateral moves, rotations in other groups? It comes up every year and nothing is ever done about it.

Great for the Area
May 4, 2022 - CMC Regulatory Sciences SpecialistRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Onsite perks. Great growth plans.
Cons
Salaries and titles feel more competitive elsewhere
- Current Employee, more than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
Salary is good and not much else
Cons
Benefits are subpar compared to other Biotech companies. Vacation is non existent unless you are an executive. No opportunities for promotion/change of role unless you have been in role 18-24 months (company policy). Most of the products are not unique and the partnership with Sanofi is a disaster. Senior Management does not value many parts of the organization.

Pros
The salaries are good compared to other companies in the area and there are weekend bonus hours which are great. People who work here are generally younger depending on what department you are in. free breakfast on fridays and cheap prices in the cafeteria. Great PTO policy.
Cons
Very corporate and not a cool company as they try to portray in orientation. There is someone always breathing down your back and the guy in charge sets the precedent by sending emails spying on people and mentioning it as a lesson in the email. To elaborate the director spent a day watching a piece of garbage on the sidewalk and took photos of people walking by who didn't pick it up and sent a company wide email. Petty is an understatement. This makes the leadership of this company really intense and not a fun company to work for.
