I worked at Regent Aerospace Corp full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people who work tirelessly to get the product out the door.

    Cons

Extreme long hours, international travel with little to no moments notice. Owner is a tyrant who likes to listen to himself pontificate how great he is, and brags about lying to source inspectors. There is no trust so when payroll has to be paid or checks cut to utilities and suppliers accounts payable must wait on the owner to sign. Which means employees dont get paid on Friday, utilities get shut off and supplier checks bounce. Wal-Mart will not cash payroll checks from this company due to too many bounced payroll checks.

    Advice to Management

Oust the owner and hire a CEO who is honest and fair with employees, suppliers, and customers.

I have been working at Regent Aerospace Corp full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People to work with. For those that have the stomach to stick around for whatever reason it can be like we are in the same boat surviving together.

    Cons

Upper management has issues letting go when they are able to hire persons that can make a difference and want to micro manage.

    Advice to Management

Force the issue about getting the right people for the job with the owner and stop being beholden to him.

    Pros

The Chief Inspector and the Quality Department Supervisor were good people who cared about their staff. They stood up to corporate management to attain pay raises and benefits for the department employees.

    Cons

Top corporate management does not value the efforts of their employees. The CEO has unrealistic goals, and lacks the leadership qualities to effectively delegate authority, and positively motivate the company employees. There is no corporate culture of authentic teamwork, as the CEO thinks his ideas are the only workable plan.

    Advice to Management

First, to the CEO - when you delegate tasks to your subordinates, allow them to do their job. Many good, experienced managers left because you would not let them make necessary changes to improve work processes. Next, corporate management must recognize the true value of employees efforts, and offer competitive wages along with better benefits. A genuine culture of teamwork must be developed throughout the company, to motivate and retain employees, and enable the company to satisfy customer requirements.

    Pros

None, I can't honestly think of one good thing to say about this company.

    Cons

Owner will not pay the bills
Pay is below the industry standard
    Several times owner missed payroll
    Promises of bonuses never kept
    Health insurance is not offered
We can't buy basic office supplies or toilet paper.
    18+ hour work days
    Owner is a monster

    Advice to Management

Owner needs to step away from day to day operations and quit micromanaging everything, pay the bills and let the officers of the company do their job.
