I have been working at Regis Corporation full-time

    Pros

I need a pay check.. I like most of the people I work with.

    Cons

Pay varies so much, one check can be $ 300 less than the last. Now we have to buy all our own tools. Insurance..... pricey...& not good. If you want to hand out coupons & discounts fine... but, don't take those discounts away from your stylists pay.

    Advice to Management

Remember .. your nothing without your stylists.

    Pros

I was able to learn from my former boss.

    Cons

    Money was not very good.
Some employees were rude to coworkers and clients.

    Advice to Management

Please invest in better training and pay employees a living wage.

I worked at Regis Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The only pro hire people without experience.

    Cons

Pay is very low. Hard to establish clientele since company doesn't advertise on TV or billboards. Management including district leader and regional manager does not care about employees. They have lost the human aspect of business.

    Advice to Management

Try to understand stylist needs, for example better pay. It's hard to support a family with minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Raise hourly pay from minimum wage some of your stylists work is worth a lot more money and it would help the company to keep employees longer term.

    Pros

Regis Corp. provides education to its stylists. Regis stylists are believed to be better skilled stylists, and prices are nearly double that of other salons.

    Cons

The education is the same no matter the salon. Meaning, low-cost salons are just as trained. The client only thinks Regis is more elite. However, Regis owns other establishments which receive the same classes.

    Advice to Management

If Regis wants to be elite then teach Regis stylists courses that are not offered to lesser salons.

I have been working at Regis Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some paid holidays and benefits if you could afford it. Most of the staff and guests are great.

    Cons

Minimum wage pay ,hardly any education ,flooded markets with no staff , no insensitives, the list can go on forever . You are overworked and underpaid and not appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Start taking care of your stylist and managers that's who is making the money for your corporation.

I have been working at Regis Corporation part-time

    Pros

Just hourly rate, not enough clients to everyone because manager takes them all!

    Cons

just have the left overs from manager

    Advice to Management

Walk in with a request or call ahead, should be an extra fee, because manager takes everybody and other stylist just seats around, when schedule is made including all the request. If a client is requesting one stylist they won't mind the extra 2 dollars per hair cut if not all other stylist can have a client and it will be a better work flow..

    Pros

It's a job. Paychecks were always on time.

    Cons

Poor leadership abound at headquarters. Listening to the way the leadership talks about the support staff as if they are disposable at all times is hard to keep going day in and day out.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people you pay to help guide technology.

I worked at Regis Corporation full-time

    Pros

Amazing team of people to work with
    independent work
    Different every single day

    Cons

There is no passion for the business.
No follow up from management on reviews or processes.
Very little to no room for growth
Not willing to adapt into growing and changing times
Management is not aware of work loads or each team members
    Salary is far too low

    Advice to Management

Step up and show your employees you care. If you are asked for a review of their performance take time to put one together. If an employee asks how they can grow and improve there should be an answer other than- how do you feel you can grown and improve.

    Pros

    Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nothing. NONE.

    Cons

Always short staffed because the pay is terrible! You work nights, weekends and holidays with no extra pay and upper management sucks and lies

    Advice to Management

Paying your people minimum wage makes you look pathetic. Trust your SDL's instead of lying to them and backstabbing. Oh yeah, and maybe don't pay your sucky managers more than your SDL's - there's an idea!
