    Pros

Salon is very busy.Great co workers.Close to home .There is opportunity to advance.Continuing education.Use & sell quality hair products.

    Cons

Pay is mediocre at best.Upper management only care about increasing their bonuses by pushing stylists and salon managers to sell sell sell retail.Company does not follow through on promises to revamp severely out dated salons even when stores are increasing profits for company year after year .

    Advice to Management

Stylists should be paid more then minimum wage.Managers should be paid an average of their earnings for vacation pay rather then $8.75 per hour.Health care benefits should more affordable as well.

    Pros

These salons usually have good locations so if you are just starting out and have zero clientele you can easily get a job and start making money right away.

    Cons

The pay is low. If you aren't making commission you are making minimum wage.
If you go on vacation, you get paid minimum wage.
If you have to go to a mandatory meeting or training you are making minimum wage.
When you are a manger, all the extra things you do like training, recruiting, goal setting, coaching, even putting new hires in the system that time is counting against your commission. It makes you want to work off the clock.

I know the companies stock is not doing all that great but there must be some serious problems. I have had 3 regional managers and 5 district leaders in the past 12 month period. They kept restructuring districts. I think it was to redistribute salons after a bunch were closed.

I stayed so long because I felt like Regis owns everything. I made it work to support my family but it meant being there all the time.

There are several Higher up positions listed on their web page, some have been open for over 4 years. these are not real positions these are just bait to attract resumes.

    Advice to Management

If you take care of your people your people will take care of you.
Dl's need closer supervision to ensure salons have help and guidance.
Stop posting dl positions you are never going to fill to attract stylist. We're on to you.

I have been working at Regis Corporation (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Helps build your clientele, offers great training classes

    Cons

Minimum wage while your making the company hundreds even thousands, upper management and human resources do not follow through with complaints..often left to cover others schedules

    Advice to Management

Get people in management that truly care about the employees and not just about selling product and gettting combos, just so they can make a bonus check, while the stylists are doing all the hard work and only making 7.25 an hour!!

    Pros

    Discounted services. Discounted products.

    Cons

The higher ups of this company do not care about their employees, or at least don't seem to. Hourly pay is a joke. Numbers to hit commission are unobtainable. Salon upkeep is horrible. Its nearly impossible to get any sort of maintenance achieved.
