      Amazing

      Pros

Continue education at zero cost, always busy, opportunity to advance in the company. During winter months it's very slow and your pay check takes a huge hit and your guaranteed at least minimum wage! Many extra benefits along with amazing team you work with everyday

      Cons

No set schedules, should have a receptionist during busy times, the front should be doors not a gate. Walmart here has only 1 door and north wind just freezes us out in the winter. Salons need updating done they aren't looking bright and clean. More variety on the back bar to use on clients. No match to 401k 😞

      Cons

No work/life balance. Low pay. You’re just a number. Franchises out their salons to under qualified persons.

      Pros

The "workers" at corporate are great, friendly people.

      Cons

CEO, keeps adding more C suite persons and laying off the people he expects to get the work done. CEO doesn't think MPLS people are smart enough to create apps or do marketing for a discount hair salon, so he wastes more money by opening offices in "Silicone Valley" (but actually Fresno) and Madison Ave NY for their marketing. Spends money faster than the company is making it - especially after selling off all the company owned salons trading it for royalties of 8% (or less in most cases).

Do Not Work For This Company

      Pros

Great employees, and selling their profitable salons to franchise, who for the most part are much better employers then Regis Corporation currently is.

      Cons

Regis use to be a great company to work for, however, the changes over the past 3 years have made it a miserable place to be employed. They pay low wages that do not compete with their competitors making it next to impossible to hire experienced, loyal employees or competent managers. No hands on education, minimal marketing for the salons. Knowing that stylists and managers are stealing money and product and not being able to do anything about it since there is no asset protection. Stay as far away from Regis owned salons as possible as most are one step away from closing once their leases are up.

      Pros

Stylists, customers, coworkers, travel, great Artistic Director

      Cons

Very secretive, management did not value employees. Sells salons to people that know nothing about business of the industry.

      Pros

      Met some amazing people there.

      Cons

They close salons down , with very little notice. Have worked in two high volume regis salons that were out performing most of the salons in the area and they were both shut down without reason and with less than a weeks notice. The pay is very low, they care more about your numbers then you as a hair stylist. Little to no education, and all the salons are old and out of style. Hours are terrible , you have to work new years eve and day. Christmas eve and only get 3 holidays out of the year off. Long story short, if you work here, build your clientele for a year tops then get out.

The company has changed a lot

      Pros

The people. The stylists, managers, and field leaders were amazing.

      Cons

Long hours, low compensation, no support from home office. Corporate came out to the market 1 time in the 11 years I was with the company, and made no changes updates to salons that were in desperate need of updating. Opened new salons in areas where staffing was already a struggle, instead of paying more and updating existing salons.
