    Approves of CEO

I worked at Reinhardt University part-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get to work with some amazing faculty and staff who invest in your growth by letting you take the helm on projects. You are allowed large amounts if leadership and entrusted with much responsibility. You get to use your creative and technical brain and work multiple touring shows and student produced, along with main stage productions.

    Cons

Hard work. Not for someone looking to breeze by. Lots of hours for a feeble pay. Often have to fight through the Frey of being young compared to those you are working with.

    Advice to Management

Great team who invests in you!

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Reinhardt University full-time

    Pros

The school is great, but the work environment is beyond terrible.

    Cons

Management is terrible. There is no training what-so-ever. Pay is relatively nice, but could be higher.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees and know what you're doing.

I worked at Reinhardt University full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Wonderful students, dedicated faculty, beautiful rural setting

    Cons

Upper management lies, manipulates, and pushes their own agendas. Indecisiveness with nearly every aspect of running the university No money Uninvolved Board of Directors High employee turnover Hostile work environment

    Advice to Management

Leave so that capable management can come in and turn things around before it's too late.

I have been working at Reinhardt University full-time

    Pros

-Many coworkers are genuinely pleasant, helpful, and caring -Tranquil location -Some facilities are nice -Traffic to and from surrounding area is easy to navigate -A long history of serving the community -Work beside many talented faculty and staff -Many coworkers have worked there for a long time and are dedicated to the university

    Cons

-Raises are nonexistent, regardless of increasing workload and excellent performance. -University is notorious for financially overcommitting, ultimately cutting corners. -Many in leadership positions have blatant disrespect for staff or students. -University disregards policies intended to protect staff. -Leadership rarely acknowledges mistakes, usually scapegoats lower staff. -I've never been paid overtime... I've submitted. -Awful IT support, in crumbling state at time of writing -Shady financial occurrences. -Hourly staff's time is of no value to leadership - nearly impossible to have an idea of when you will be needed to work because scheduling is so poorly handled. -Hourly staff members are given expectations of salaried roles, but without the pay to reflect. Expected to be on-call 24/7 even when off the clock. -Some facilities are simply awful. Some ductwork in my building looks like it has never been cleaned properly. Some staff members have left simply because air quality in the building was so poor. -Some facilities are in disrepair. Water damage and resulting mold from multiple major leaks have never been repaired despite facilities department being aware. -Ill-advised DIY installations of equipment that should only be installed by professionals create an unsafe work environment. Example: The audio equipment improperly installed in gymnasium. Leadership notified many times. -Beautification projects on campus only serve to solidify the reality of a polished, empty shell of a place, literally and figuratively.

    Advice to Management

Leadership should consider the high turnover rate as a reflection of unhappy employees. Branding will improve from the inside out instead of from polished exteriors. Focus more on being a better educational institution and less on personal careers and accomplishments.

I have been working at Reinhardt University full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Strong sense of community among staff and faculty. Committed to excellence. Open to change. Strategic leadership

    Cons

Old habits die hard and silos are beginning to disolve. More open communication will continue to help the university thrive

    Advice to Management

Maintain strategic edge and don't worry if some are slow to climb on board. There is evident excitement about the direction the university is going.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Reinhardt University full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Good memories of Reinhardt from over the last ten years, though the university has always had a history with poorly-managed finances. From what I can tell, the Student Affairs folks were doing well until recently; same with Admissions. Many...not all...of the faculty have the right attitude about being an educator. The school used to be moderately competitive with other universities, but it was and will never be... a first-choice institution of higher learning.

    Cons

The leadership team is completely disconnected from the rest of campus: they will not listen, they will not learn, their approach to running Reinhardt is similar to that of a corporation, and it's not working. Some people in leadership have nefarious ways of making things happen...could they be illegal? The micromanagement has become unbearable, and it's pushing people out; no one is going to be in Admissions,... Student Affairs, Athletics, or Physical Plant if the lack of support and micromanagement and negative attitude keeps up.

    Advice to Management

Take a week to learn what the employees actually do. Take a week to spend with the students. Theoretical approaches don't always work the way we want them to. Hire more people. Be kind. Trust. Listen more, speak less. Be consistent. If you can't do the job well, LEAVE: it's better to have an empty chair than to have the wrong person in that chair.

I worked at Reinhardt University full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

When i first started there it was an amazing family environment. The staff took care of each other and of course took care of the students.

    Cons

Administration changes have caused the erosion of the culture to where it is no longer fun to work there, very stressful, afraid you are going to get called into a meeting and escorted from the campus.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any for them, they wouldn't listen anyway.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Reinhardt University full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Students mostly try very hard. Community feel away from management.

    Cons

Management style from above has gone from laissez-faire to very controlling at upper levels.

    Advice to Management

Remember the name of the school is Reinhardt University and it is not named for anyone in current leadership, contrary to your own beliefs.
