    Pros

Great team and customers; product has come a long way in being current and inspiring.

    Cons

Trying to get things done with limited resources and feeling unaccomplished when we can't. We all want to succeed but we need the right amount of tools to do so.

    Advice to Management

Spend a day in the life of a REAL Day trying to get things done and then realize that more support is needed.

    Pros

Very trendy and lots of room for growth. Great experience and relationship with management team. Wasn't in a mall so I had all the holidays off.

    Cons

No benefits or pay raise for keyholder because you technically aren't "management". However you are expected to complete management segments as well as lead the sales floor and have complete knowledge on opening and closing procedures.

    Advice to Management

Higher pay to keyholder positions as well as garaunteed hours. Environment was very friendly and all employees were wonderful.

I worked at Reitmans full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

From my experience the hours were pretty stable, no on calls. Good Training. Generally good in-store management.

    Cons

No pay rise for 'promotion' to key holder, even though you become a sales leader and have way more responsibilities than an associate. Managers can get kind of pushy with sales at times. Higher management weren't great.

    Pros

RW&CO at WEM. Very professional team. Friendly and warm environment.

    Cons

    Salary is a minimum wage...

    Advice to Management

Just keep doing a great job

    I worked at Reitmans part-time

    Pros

Good work environment. Team oriented. Are able to be flexible with availability. Stayed on part time for a number of years

    Cons

Too much focus on pushing customers to purchase items. Would rather help passively. Difficult to work for district managers, as they do not care about employees lower down.

I have been working at Reitmans full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Relatively flexible hours
    Half-day Fridays
    Cafeteria on site
    (I have) good management
Parking (if your position warrants it)
Annual bonus (depending on company performance)
Continued to give (reduced) increases during the economic downturn
    Close to bus and metro

    Cons

Dysfunctional HR (not great a communicating; unaware or oblivious to low morale; caused the low morale by how it handled downsizing over the last few years; have yet to follow through on 'sprucing up the building' which was promised two years ago in response to the downsizing)
    No RRSP matching or helping
Reduced increases have become the norm
No investment matching or helping (company does not encourage employees to buy its stock)
Divisions all exist under the Reitmans name, but keep trying to behave independently, which causes confusion and increased expense and stress for everyone
Cafeteria food is edible (sometimes good, often not good at all; akin to a high school cafeteria)
    Limited career growth

    Advice to Management

Be forward thinking; reward employees; modernize the company culture and policies

    -Good pay
    -Good experience
    -Flexible schedule
    -Good co-workers etc

    Cons

    -Not enough shifts
    -Don't care about employees lives
-Management is lazy and does nothing while regular sales assosiates do everything

    Advice to Management

DO YOUR JOB!!!!! Sales assosiates shouldn't have to do everything.

    Pros

The discount is amazing. It is 50% but they always expect you to be in current items.

    Cons

Badly managed, customers are usually annoying and messy

    Advice to Management
