    Pros

Compensation, the Clients, your co-workers and the Culture are what make Related an awesome company to work for. Related has helped me greatly advanced in my knowledge of how to perform customer service in an environment defined as "luxury" and "up-scale". That will be with me for life. Also, the relationships I've made with co-workers and the community of residents that we served from the building's inception has made me expand my sense of family and it was my pleasure to work for such a great community of people. Financial compensation, benefits, and "tips" made the job that much more enjoyable and I only left because of relocation. I would work for them again, but I will admit that having a family would sometimes conflict when I was "stuck" with mandatory overtime because a concierge's job is shift-work.

    Cons

The only negatives were the different personality conflicts with some employees, or bad resident management at times. Typically a building can open with a good manager and he/she may move on to other buildings once it's up and functional. To the residents and employees alike, this is like a losing a member of the family and often times they'll be replaced with someone who is night and day different with the former manager. Another con, corporate politics plays into manager areas that have no politics.

    Advice to Management

Reward those who do their best to live out your motto of, ABOVE AND BEYOND. Too many employees feel overlooked, burnt out and under-appreciated by management, meanwhile, the residents may have extraordinary praise for an employee who feels like dirt to the company. That shouldn't be. Also, Christmas gratuity to employees shouldn't be discouraged during the holidays with that "stupid" memo that you send around to the buildings...if anything, help facilitate an age old process in a way that reflects current technology and realize that many non-office (aka the majority of your employees) consider their tips a part of their salary and you can at least help them (off the books if you have to) make sure there's no chaos in the process.

    Pros

Great employee development. An industry leader in their field. Nation wide relocation availability. Amazing management leaders.

    Cons

Started to defect from a family work environment to a very fast paced corporate America atmosphere. Which could tend to forget the people who have always been there.

    Advice to Management

The workload on employees can be overwhelming at times, due to a result driven atmosphere. You at times had no life for extended periods.
