Pros

Nice and dark in the attic so no one knows whether or not if you're actually working. Free buns when it's someone's birthday. I never told anyone it was my birthday.

Cons

Interesting to see how three 5 star reviews suddenly appear - ALL on the same date after receiving a stream of bad yet HONEST reviews. There's some nice pictures of the company to mislead people. Worked as a developer. Was constantly told my work was poor quality whilst being threatened on a weekly basis that they were going to drop my salary. Training non existent. Director emptied my lunch all over my desk In front of my colleagues and asked me to lose weight. There's a really nasty set of individuals work in QA which had resulted in several colleagues to walk out. Awful environment. Awful people.

Pros

Standard benefits - paid overtime and a decent bonus scheme which brought the salary up a bit.

Cons

Salary was below average (even with the bonus and overtime) and not as competitive as other IT companies. There was limited progress. QA was a fractured team as I found it catty and dominated by contentious characters, making it an unpleasant work environment for the others they targeted. QA management were not effective in dealing with the issues and looked like they made things worse with the approach taken. It was a pretty toxic work place with difficulties in managing the people within the team in an effective manner. Dealing with issues in a professional way was seemingly not a priority. The QA office was a grim and depressing space in an attic with limited light because there was an insistence that the lights where kept off by management. This created an unhealthy workplace and wasn't challenged by any other management in the building whilst I was there as far as I know. QA has a high staff turn over with a lot of people resigning within a year. Several walked away because conditions became so dire for them. Essentially it was made difficult for them to properly integrate into the QA team. The sickness level was also something I thought was questionable too. Training and support is minimal. The system is not smooth enough for the approach of learn as you go. Support meant continuously interrupting to ask other team members for help which irritated them and probably made tensions amongst the team worse. I wouldn't recommend QA.

Pros

Employee benefits but nothing you wouldn't find elsewhere. Flexible working hours. Work from home. Interesting work.

Cons

The people: Training and support was non existent. Was paired with a 'buddy' who seemed to take offence to my presence. Very seldom spoke and was very reluctant to answer my questions and often withheld information. When the issue was raised through management, my concerns were swept under the carpet and it was brushed off as my perception of events among various other excuses. I have worked in many places and I've never experienced anything like this. Not a great office atmosphere. Swearing seldom bothers me (However I don't speak for the rest of the public) but the whole place lacks a professional feel as a result and in the end it kind of feels more like a place you would settle for if you couldn't get the job you wanted. If you're looking for professionalism, you won't find it here.
