I worked at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You are provided with a service vehicle. Very few pros.

    Cons

They do not hire within. You have to be a really good sales person. Just a number, poor training.

    Advice to Management

Train your staff to advance. Treat your present Customers with respect. Treat your employees with respect.

I worked at Reliance Home Comfort (More than a year)

    Pros

You can make over 80k per year but you will work 16 hours a day with no holidays and no family time

    Cons

No holidays. 6 days a week 12 hours a day and at least 2 Sudays a month to work.
24 7 365 work time. No family time.

    Advice to Management

No advice. It is the model they have and just want people not to leave their existing job for this without knowing what it is like.

I have been working at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Reliance has great financial gain and opportunity. The company is very supportive and allows me to be confident that I have a career

    Cons

One of the challenges is to keep on top of product knowledge and install details. If you don't do this it can affect your sales and customers needs.

    Advice to Management

Everything I have experienced so far has been great and I am honored to be part of this team.

I have been working at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great earnings potential and great team all around to increase success. Reliance ensures you get very in depth training to help you succeed.

    Cons

Long hours with very little time for family or personal obligations. Very demanding and stressful at times. No paid mileage or compensation for vehicles if you are not provided with company vehicle.

    Advice to Management

Perhaps have more involved two way meetings with staff to ensure positive results and boost moral.

I have been working at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing training program with ongoing help and support from my management team. A company truly dedicated to providing excellent service to their customers.

    Cons

No real cons here. Overall a great company with management going above and beyond for customers and interested in seeing us succeed.

    Advice to Management

I would like to have had a little more product knowledge during our initial training. Call centre could learn a little more about the areas where they're booking our appointments for drive times and to avoid overbooking.

I have been working at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If meeting new people is what you like to do then you can't get a better job then this! You get to not only help people in sometimes the coldest days of their lives but you also get to know them while being in the comfort of their own home allowing them to actually be themselves! I walk away feeling as if I've actually helped someone and that the help that I've given them is actually going to better their home which in turn betters their life!

    Cons

Longer hours then most of my previous jobs because you meet people on their time but completely worth it in the end!

    Pros

Good pay. Excellent office staff. Good training upon hire. Thorough processes in place. H&S omnipresent. Decent incentives.

    Cons

Company business ethics questionable. Espouse developing people but mgmt directives were to cut any low producers with little opportunities for improvement. Mgmt team were very clique-based boys club. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

Do better at supporting new hires and don't leave them to flounder when they are faced with a work load twice than what they were initially hired for. Strive to truly look after your internal customers better rather than pouring all energies into charities like Habitat for Humanity which is great PR but does nothing for employee morale. Reduce culture of cutting people at the first opportunity you get instead of developing them. It's far more costly to package someone, re-hire, re-train etc than building someone up.

I have been working at Reliance Home Comfort full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I get to take my truck home. Benifits are good. No lack of work. Management at my particular branch (cambridge) is easy to deal with. Safety is priority. Tools supplied. Positive attitudes all the way around.

    Cons

Wage is competitive but could be better. Over time doesn't kick in until after 44 hours

    Advice to Management

Thanks for making my transition to reliance easy
