I have been working at Relias Learning full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relias provides an amazing career trajectory due to hyper-growth. As a learning company, Relias invests a lot in staff development and promotes mostly from within. The company is growing so fast that new opportunities are posted daily. You don't have to wait for something to open up to be promoted if you perform well.

The culture is great because of the people - the mission attracts people that care about helping others and work well on teams.

    Cons

Healthcare coverage could be a bit better

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and manage out the haters. 99.99% of us love what we do at Relias and are grateful to be here.

I have been working at Relias Learning full-time

    Pros

Amazing clients: you could not ask for a better opportunity to serve organizations that do good in the world
Decent benefits: still very expensive for a family and cost of living can't keep up, but that's a challenge all companies face
PTO policy is great; no hoarding days for holidays or school breaks
    Very smart people work here

    Cons

Inconsistency-some managers are great, other managers are too tasked, leaving teams with a leadership vacuum. Leaders should enable people to be rocks stars at their jobs, not saddle them with self-management.
Multiple acquisitions threaten to erode the amazing culture Relias has created.
Value all styles of communication. Lately the loudest and most assertive voices get to lead.

    Advice to Management

Culture and organizational health is essential to worker productivity and satisfaction. It's your competitive edge. Growth can be intoxicating, but make sure that culture isn't sacrificed. Stay true to the principles taught in Corporate Boot Camp.

"Good culture and management, more responsibility without compensation"

I have been working at Relias Learning full-time

    Pros

The leadership at Relias is great at all levels. The company is healthy and growing rapidly so it makes it an exciting place to work.

    Cons

The workload is overwhelming for the pay. More responsibilities are given to staff without proper compensation. This has caused turnover recently and causes people to be continuously looking for other opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Re-evaluate how much responsibility is given to people with lower salaries and decide if the compensation is fair. You will only be able to keep good people around if they are paid appropriately.

    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Relias Learning full-time

    Pros

Will sometimes allow you to have any role at the company with little to no experience

    Cons

Relias will underpay you, over work you. This company promotes an environment only friendly to white males. Promotions are based on popularity not merit. If you are a POC or a woman you will have to work twice as hard and hear racially insensitive comments during meetings and in passing. White women are promoted if they are attractive or popular. There are no people of color in VP positions or above. If you are not liked or are not white you do not have a chance.

They are insensitive towards the LGBTQI community and try to create programs (no funding) to seem as if they are interested in or care about under served populations.

Recruiters in the area even know that the "behavioral" assessment used to make hiring decisions is bias towards white males. Stay away if you want to feel valued and be paid at an amount you deserve.

I have been working at Relias Learning full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits including unlimited PTO, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and awesome 401k matching! The people who work here are incredibly bright and talented and care about what they do. Great environment and fun culture!

    Cons

Pay is a little below market but for me the environment, benefits, and mission more than make up for the difference. Unfortunately though, that's not always enough.

    Advice to Management

As we grow, it's imperative for the executive team to continue to make time for the individual contributors. We are at a pivotal time where we grow from a medium to large company, but the small company feel of this organization and having the ears of our leaders is going to be vital if we want to maintain the positive culture that currently exists.
