I have been working at Relias full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

New CEO in 2020 with exciting things happening - addressing compensation concerns of past years; fantastic benefits package and 401K represent significant financial value, creating culture with focus on good work/life balance, being creative and taking risks, and collaboration. Lots of investment in the business from the parent company, and the business has really thrived during a tough 2020. Good progress on diversity and inclusion, which had not been focused on enough in the past. There are signs of more women and diverse team members moving into middle and upper management roles. Great mission, good strategy. Leadership team cares about people and the business.

    Cons

Still need to improve communication across the company. So much is going on and need to work harder to make sure everyone is in sync and the right hand knows what the left hand is doing - still feels sometimes like we are juggling 5 flaming torches while jumping rope. Not an unusual challenge for a company that has grown revenue 10X and acquired 10+ companies over the past 8 years. Good work trying to tap into the great potential of our employees. Need to keep making progress here, the individual contributors have passion and great ideas, we need to keep getting better at this.

I worked at Relias full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They value the diversity of woman

    Cons

For many years associated tried to educate and bring awareness to the diversity issues with in Relias. Their leadership was prominently white to include managers until recently. People of color were not promoted and often looked over. Due to today’s climate it seems like they have jumped on the band wagon of trying to focus on diversity. Although it’s never late, I’m curious to see if this in fact is a lasting effort or a sprint.

    Relias Response

    March 1, 2021Chief People Officer

Thank you for your feedback. We were excited to hire Kelli Slade, Director, DEI this past October to help me focus day-to-day on this issue. You are correct in that we were lacking POC in our management ranks and the few that we did have, left for a variety of reasons. We have been on an upward trend for the last two years, but still have much work to do. I am looking forward to partnering with Kelli on the implementation of our 2021/22 DEI strategic plan and on our development opportunities for our people of color.
