Pros
Shing is super smart open minded. He has his pulse on the zeitgeist and is the kind of person who has nothing to prove, which allows him to make informed decisions and take strategic, calculated risks with the direction of the company. It’s my first experience working for a corporation that has major verticals under its belt but operates, culturally, like a startup. I was with the company back when they owned Vegas.com bu my wish I had stayed as they moved more into AI. Only reason I left was because living in Vegas full time was difficult since I wanted to be close to my family. Shing has many personal relationships with high level execs both in Vegas and around the world, many of whom pass through for a day or two. He’s super accessible, has an amazing work ethic and notices the like so if you put your best foot forward, there’s a lot of opportunity to grow here and cultivate significant relationships. Excited to see Remark grow now that it’s found it’s footing.
Cons
Like I said, it’s a “big” company on paper but doesn’t have too many employees so you may have more responsibilities than anticipated. Nothing unmanageable though. Only reason I’m giving it 4/5 is because the hours are long. Senior management are all workhorses who expect the same level of dedication so there’s not much time for a social life if you’re trying to stand out.

Bizarre time with bikini.com

- Your fellow coworkers. You will bond with them if for no other reason than shared confusion and survival. - Your location. It's a nice building with a lot of nearby food options. Great for all the late nights you'll be spending working here. - Not bad if you work remotely or in a part-time position. Full-time? Well, you'll get used to the nice window views of the office around midnight. - If you're interested in this industry, stick it out for a little while for the resume experience.
Cons
- The "office culture" is truly the strangest thing I've experience at any job previously or since. Arbitrary rules, last-minute deadlines, "gossip sessions" disguised as meetings, lack of personal boundaries, a weird push to "snitch" on coworkers for imaginary offenses, just a strange atmosphere. - You will not leave "on time." You may leave at 8PM some days. You may leave at 1AM. It is not up to you. - No path to advancement in the company, no hope to improve on the way things are. Huge turnover. No one stays long, for good reason. They get what they need and they get out.

Pros
I have worked for Remark Media for over a year now and I can honestly say it is one of the best companies I have worked for. Here are some of the reasons why: There are real chances to grow professionally, I have trust in senior management (who take pride in what they do) and I enjoy that all the companies work together as a team, to reach one goal, make Remark Media grow. Senior management can often be seen working one on one with employees and are on a first name bases. If you are looking for opportunity to voice your ideas, be apart of a company that is growing rapidly, and give it 110% each day then you can go far with Remark.
Cons
I can't think of one Con.

Grew So Much

There are a lot of great opportunities for networking, and meeting high level executives. There is also a lot of great opportunities to grow and develop professionally. I came in to the company right after college with no real world experience, and was slowly given more and more responsibilities.
Cons
The workload is heavy on Bikini because it is an environment for self starters, and sometimes there are not clear cut directions so you have to research the best way to run a project.

DONT WALK. RUN! From this employer
Apr 2, 2017 - Anonymous Employee in Las Vegas, NVRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The only pro is that you do get a paycheck. The location is nice and pretty, but it's a facade. It's how hey impress investors and the Board of Directors.
Cons
Other than a paycheck, working for this company will make you feel every bad emotion that exists. Afraid. Abused. Ignored. Battered. Paranoid. Used. And so on. As stated in another review, everyone who leaves, has made up stories about them that are completely false. Accusing people and still interfering with their lives even after they're gone. Beware you can never leave 1 minute early!! Ever. Bottom line it's sub-human treatment. It's horrible. DO. NOT. WORK. HERE.

Pros
Decent colleagues, all of whom were jettisoned; apparently the stock price has improved slightly now so I guess that would be a "pro" in 2016.
Cons
Was promised the moon and such was definitely not delivered, corporate politics were downright nasty, instability and idiocy generally ruled the day despite the best efforts of several members of management team.

Pros
The people in the office were really nice.
Cons
The people may be nice, but it wasn't a positive working environment. It lacked office culture, and it was a constant battle to get a project done or approve.
